Buzz 1 - strap-on dildo by Tantus - review by Safo Garcia

This opalescent pink dildo can be used in any O-ring compatible harness. Of course, you can also use it as a hand-held dildo, and it is safe for anal because it has a flared base.

It comes with a mini bullet that's battery-operated and fits in a little hole in the base. A push button turns it on; it has only one speed.

The Buzz is made by Tantus, a very reputable company, and is made of 100% premium, medical-grade silicone. It is silky smooth to the touch, with no holes or imperfections, and much more flexible than my other favorite Tantus dildo the Echo. The Echo (mine is purple) is very firm and rigid, and judging by the reviews of purple Buzz that describe it as firm also, it seems that the firmness depends on the color and type of silicone. Unlike the purple Echo and purple Buzz, the tip of this pink Buzz can easily be bent down until it touches its base.

I love the Echo, but sometimes its firmness and ridges are just too much, too intense. The Buzz is a great everyday dildo. It's especially good for cowgirl position, as it's flexible and not so long it pokes too deep. It's also great for blowjobs because it's flexible and smooth.

Now, the official page seems to give its insertable length as 5", but my tape measure says it's about 7" overall and 6 1/2" insertable. I find this to be a very versatile length, great for most positions. The shaft is 1 1/4" but the bulbous head is a bit wider.

I like the sensation produced by the bulbous head when it's inserted, and it also stimulates the G-spot when it's thrust deeply in and out. The fact that it curves easily makes it less intense than the very rigid, inflexible Buzz dildos.

Tantus is known for making excellent, quality silicone toys, but I have heard many complaints about the bases of their dildos being too small and sometimes slipping out of the harness' O-ring--especially when using a rubber O-ring. It doesn't happen all the time, but I have had Tantus dicks slip through a rubber O-ring during bouts of vigorous fucking. This is potentially less of a problem with Tantus' very rigid dildos, like the purple ones I mention above. But since the pink Buzz is flexible, its base is also flexible and more likely to pop through, and it needs a very tight-fitting O-ring. As long as you have a tight fit on your O-ring, you'll be fine.

A metal O-ring will be better for this dildo than a rubber ring because it won't stretch out.

The mini dildo diffuses soft vibes throughout the shaft, and they're stronger near the base.

You should use only water-based lube with this dildo because silicone-based lubes can permanently affect its surface texture. It's easy to sterilize by boiling, running in the dishwasher, or spritzing with a 10% bleach solution and washing and rinsing with soap to remove all traces of bleach. Obviously, you need to remove the mini bullet before cleaning it with any of these methods, and it is not sterilizeable.

A helpful tip: put a little spot of water-based lube on the tip of the bullet before inserting it so that it's easy to remove later.

It comes in a nice clear. plastic packaging, but it's not something you can keep. It's nice that the mini vibe comes with a battery already. It takes watch-style batteries, which can be hard to find, so that's a nice touch.
