Platinum silicone tool - dildo discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Incendiaire

The product is presented in some rather nice packaging. An a outer cardboard box surrounds an inner plastic insert, which holds the dildo in place like a cocoon. After discarding the cardboard I found the plastic useful to keep as storage for the toy, protecting it from dust and mingling with other items in my drawer.

The first thing I noticed when I removed it from the box was that it had this wonderfully sweet, fruity aroma to the silicone. It is advertised as being "odourless" and so would fail this on a technical point, but I would make no complaint over the matter.

The next thing to draw my attention was the size, something which is often difficult to judge from photos alone. Measuring in at 7" long and 1 1/2" in diameter, it's nothing too alarming, meaning it's still in the realm of suitability for a beginner, albeit it at the upper end of that. The thickness makes it realistically comparable to a penis - if that's what you were aiming for - and which also comes in handy if you want to protect it with a condom during use, as it'll stay in place.

The product is made from Doc Johnson's proprietary blend of platinum silicone, which is firm enough for it to hold its shape well, but which is still flexible enough that it'll sway from side to side if you shake it in your hand, and can be bent and squeezed as much as you like. When inside you the silicone is soft enough to gently cushion any clenching of the muscles against it, adding to the comfort.

The toy is moulded entirely in one piece, meaning a completely smooth surface free from mould lines. The tapered tip of the toy makes it perfect for anal use, and with a little water-based lube it'll slip in like a charm, even if you've never put anything in there before. The smooth body allows it to slide back and forth seamlessly, and the flex in it allows it to bend to your shape as you adjust it to probe deeper.

One of my favourite discoveries was the way in which the silicone absorbs the heat from the body whilst it's inside, so as you begin to withdraw it you'll notice this lovely feeling of warmth emanating from it.

The base of the toy is slightly flared, to prevent any mishaps, though for most the length of the toy is enough to eliminate the risk of it becoming lost inside the body. The base is also completely smooth and flat, which has the property of causing it to stick to other flat surfaces if you push down firmly enough, which can be handy.

All-in-all it's a fantastic anal dildo, and one which I recommend to anyone without hesitation.

This was the first ever sex toy I purchased, back when I was a complete anal virgin, and it served its purpose exceptionally well. When it came to inserting it for the first time there was, as one might imagine, initial difficulty. I almost feared failure, but with a little patience, a good dash of perseverance, and a lot of water based lube, it finally slid in. I've had the Tool for nearly a year now and it remains my favorite toy. Even though I've experimented with considerably larger toys in that period, I still find it very satisfying to use.

The high quality platinum silicone has withstood the test of time and is still in pristine condition, even after multiple uses and cleanings.

The pleasant fruity smell I first noticed on the silicone has largely faded now, but a slight hint of it can still be detected.
