Vac-u-lock cock - dildo by Doc Johnson - review by Spicy Sunday

The Doc Johnson "Realistic Raging 7 inch Hard-On Cock" started out our relationship by lying to me. I wouldn't say that it is especially "realistic". That little fib aside, it is a perfectly serviceable dildo. Its most unique features are the pronounced, yet gentle, ridges that are located all the way down the shaft; and the smooth balls at the base.

Again, not exactly "realistic" compared to some other things on the market, but nice anyway. While I wouldn't consider this dildo to be huge, it has substantial girth to it due to the ridges; so it's not for absolute beginners. This dildo is part of the Vac-U-Lock series of toys from Doc Johnson, and fits onto the standard Vac-U-Lock attachment plug to be used with harnesses or the EZ Rider Ball.

The dildo is made of Sil-a-gel rubber, which is advertised as anti-bacterial, non-toxic, and latex- and cadmium-free. It is soft to the touch, and this particular dildo is very flexible. You can bend it to nearly a 90 degree angle, but it is still firm enough for relatively easy penetration, especially if you support it a little with your hand.

It has that fruity rubber sex toy smell to it, and despite a couple weeks of airing it out and washing it, the odor is still quite noticeable. I don't find it to be too obnoxious, but it's something to keep in mind if you are sensitive to odors. It has no taste.

The dildo is well-constructed and seems to be made from a single mold, because it is smooth with no seams. There is a "Doc Johnson" logo carved out near the base, so make sure to clean that area carefully. The head of the dildo has a light pink color, and it appears to be painted on. I haven't had a problem with the color coming off yet.

This dildo is designed to work with Vac-U-Lock harnesses, and the EZ Rider Ball. I used it with the ball, and it was really easy to attach it to the ball and to take it off. The ball is good for riding a dildo and thrusting deep. So if you like deep penetration you should go with the 7", but if not the 5.5" model might be a better choice for use with the ball.

Since Sil-a-gel rubber is not sterilizable and is porous, I have used it with a condom every time. Sil-a-gel is supposedly designed to not harbor odors or bacteria, but I prefer to keep my toys super clean so I use condoms. The best way to clean this toy is just with soap and warm water, so do use condoms if you plan to share it.

The packaging is relatively nice. It comes in an opaque cardboard box with information about the Vac-U-Lock system on it, and line art diagrams showing how to attach it to the Vac-U-Lock plug to use it in a harness. There are no photos of people on the box. There is a poster inside that shows various other Vac-U-Lock products made by the manufacturer. You're probably not going to want to hang the poster on your living room wall, but it is informative!

The measurements in the product information are accurate - 7" long, ~5" insertable, and 1.5" diameter. The ridges add a little to the diameter too. It is not small, but not huge either. It's very soft, so if you're thinking of stepping up to a 1.5" diameter dildo from something smaller, this might be a good choice. The ridges are large enough to be quite easy to feel during insertion, and I liked the unique feeling of them sliding in and out. While the ridges are pretty high, they are rounded and smooth, so I didn't find them irritating or painful at all.
