Whatever happened to the "Buzz 0"?
If you are looking to try a quality, vibrating silicone dildo at a reasonable price, the Buzz 1 is a great choice. This vibe is especially well designed for intense but gentle g-spot stimulation, and is small enough not to be threatening to the beginner.Published: July 28, 2008
Pros:
100% silicone, attractive metallic color, wonderful head for g-spot stimulation
Cons:
Not the same color as in the picture, base could be larger
I will admit it--my initial reaction at seeing the Buzz 1 was of mild disappointment. It was not the electric teal blue color I had seen in any of the pictures. It is, however, still a lovely shade of swirled metallic royal blue, so I am not really terribly concerned.
The silicone is smooth, soft, and supple, with just the right amount of give to put pressure on all the right spots. The Buzz 1 is not terribly intimidating; it measures in at 6” with 5” insertable. The shaft is also not very thick, and the diameter does not vary through the length of the shaft.
What makes the Buzz 1 stand out is the large and pronounced head. It is not really tapered, so it is somewhat bulbous at the top--not difficult to insert, but it might take some getting used to for a beginner. The underside of the head is smooth where it bends ever so slightly. The top of the head features a very large flare that is nonetheless smooth and gentle instead of being deeply ridged. I found this head absolutely ideal for massaging my g-spot, and once I was lubed up I enjoyed pulling it out and thrusting it back in.
The base of the dildo is not very large, so I am not too sure how well this one will work in a harness (stay-tuned for a follow-up review). It is also not large enough to conduct vibrations to the clitoris, but it does make for an adequate handhold for thrusting purposes.
The Buzz 1 comes with a micro bullet that can be inserted into the base of the dildo. It runs on 3 watch batteries and transmits a decent amount of power throughout the length of the entire toy. It is relatively quiet, emitting the high-pitched whine common with most bullets of its type.
The Buzz 1 is 100% silicone, so once you remove the bullet it can be boiled, cleaned in the dishwasher (top rack, no soap), or wiped down with a 10% bleach solution. All in all, I think the Buzz 1 is an attractive, effective, premium silicone dildo offered at an affordable price!

. Buzz 1 – dildo
-
i'd like to get one . How hard is it to clean/
-
It's very easy to clean, actually. You can wash it with hot water and antibacterial soap, boil it for 3 minutes, or put it in the top shelf of the dishwasher (without soap).
For everyday use, I wash mine hot water and soap. But if I'm going to share, I boil to completely sterilize it.
Hope this helps. :D

Thank you for viewing Buzz 1 – dildo review page!

The color is the seller for me. Tantus makes such yummy pieces! Thanks for the great review!
Thanks, Betty! The color I received doesn't match with the color I've seen in any of the pictures, but it's still quite attractive!
Tantus small-base syndrome! I can't look at any of the colors right now, since it's out of stock.
Yeah, I checked out their website, and they only have purple, blue, and pink listed, no turquoise. The Electric Blue is still very pretty, though!
I never thought considered the idea that a larger base can potentially be used to transmit the vibrations on to the clit of the harness wearer. That is a nice side effect of having larger bases on harness dildos. Thanks for another great review!
If the base is large and flexible enough, it can transmit them to the user, too, which I love! Thanks, Jimbo!
Aw man, I really liked the teal too!
Me too, Epiphora! It's still a great dildo, though. For my fellow geeks out there, the head on this one really reminds me of Rick Moranis's Dark Helmet helmet from "Spaceballs"--flat in front with a nice flare on the back. Weird reference, I know, but it feels damned good!
Great review! Too bad it doesn't come in teal, but the dark blue swirl they have listed now looks fun.
And you're right, it does look like Dark Helmet! I think I may die laughing!
Thanks, Lily! I was hoping for the teal as well, but the blue IS nice! Glad you got my Dark Helmet reference! ;)
Great review. This is one of my all-time favorite toys, along with the shorter but thicker Buzz 2. And it does work well with a harness.
Thanks so much, RedHotHippieChick! I'll have to give the Buzz2 a look now!
Great review, in my opinion!
Thanks!
Thank you for the review!!
Hmmm....
