Vivid girls designer harness Tawny - g-string harness discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Peg

Vivid girl Tawny is used to market this g-string style harness from Doc Johnson. The harness is constructed from PVC material and the ribbed jelly dong is attached to the harness using the patented Vac-u-Lock system. This system allows the user to change the dildo/dong attachment depending on the type of stimulation desired. The Tawny harness is fully compatible with the full line of Vac-u-Lock attachments. The jelly dong is smooth and flexible however it is firm enough that it can be inserted easily by oneself if engaging in some solo play. It is compatible with both water and silicone based lubricants. Its best to clean the dong with warm water and toy cleaner but if you plan to use soap make sure it is a mild one. The dong and plug attachment can be completely removed from the harness to allow it to be cleaned as well. Be careful when removing the plug, the snaps can be a little hard to undo; trying to force them may result in the harness tearing.

The harness comes with a lubricating powder that is used to assist in placing the dong onto the harness plug. Once fully seated a gentle squeeze will get any trapped air out and make for a solid seal. There are three buckles; one for the waist and one for each leg strap that will accommodate up to a 44” waist. It is best to have all of the buckles partially done and then step into the harness and tighten all of the straps to fit. The straps do have a tendency to twist so make sure there are none present when tightening them. There is not a lot of padding between the harness plug and the skin so it is important to have the harness snug against the body. Once you have it sized just loosening the straps and stepping out makes for quick donning the next time around.

The Tawny harness is modestly priced and makes for a great entry level harness for someone who is thinking about trying out a strap-on. The jelly dong shape may also be a non-intimidating factor for a couple who may be considering some female to male strap-on play. The ribs on the dong provide excellent stimulation. The various sizes of the ribs provide an excellent visual reference to be able to see when you are close to the tip and help from pulling out when you don't want to. The last inch or so of the dong is where the plastic plug sits; keep that in mind since it does not bend and can make for an uncomfortable thrust if not going in straight. The harness does have that new toy smell when first removed from the package but after a couple of days to air out the odor was gone.

We used this harness for female to male strap-on play. The harness was easy to put on and did not slip or slide once in place. After getting the dong and him all lubed up he bent over our Tilt The tip of the dong slid in quite easily and it did not take long to insert the dong completely due to its tapered shape. After a few minutes we were both really into it and got a rapid rhythm going. He said the ribbed texture became more noticeable to him the faster I went and seeing the size changes of the ribs helped me keep the dong in place. It wasn't long before he took matters into is own hands (mine were on his hips) and he finished himself off.

Out of all the harnesses we own this one has become our go to harness. I have found this one to fit the snuggest as well as not to shift during heavy use. We also modified one of our dildos (Silk Medium) to be able to use it with the vac-u-lock plug and this combination really works well for both of us!
