This toy looks really great coming out of the box. It is long and well made. It looks like a cock that is long and strong. The rubber odor is a little too prominent, but some of this faded after about a week. The toy is basically a thick rubber sheath with an inexpensive plastic vibrator inside that reaches from the base of the cock to end of the shaft just behind the head. This means that the cock has no give or bend to it at all. The plastic vibrator can be removed and used as a slimmer vibrator if the toy seems too large for you or your partner.

After loading it with batteries, the vibrator functioned well with a variable speed dial control at the end of the toy. Unlike some toys that get an amplification of the vibrations through the covering of the toy, the Quivering Cock's rubber sheath tends to mute the vibrations somewhat. While they are still strong enough to enhance sex play, they are not likely to send you to the moon in a short time. Because of the toy's large girth, it requires plenty of lubricant to keep it working until your body can adjust to it.

When using the toy with multiple partners, it is a good plan to use a condom to make sure that it is fully sterile. The rubber can be cleaned fairly thoroughly, but using a little caution is always better.

The real problem started about a week after the Quivering Cock was received. The dial control lost most of its ability to regulate the speed of the vibrator. Only the highest settings still worked. Eventually, it quit altogether. Another problem was also noted. With use, the dial became very easy to turn. This meant that even laying the toy down could move the dial. While the toy did not come on, it did heat up around the control area. It is unlikely that a fire could have started, but it did seem to shorten the battery life and probably accounted for the quick demise of the vibrator.

While the vibrator worked, it did give nice outside stimulation to the clitoris and labia. Pushing into my partner required some patience because of the need for her to expand to be comfortable with it inside. The vibrations were a little weak to give a great amount of thrills when used internally.

While the switch on this vibrator still needs to improved, I did get it to work again. It is a great size for my partner. It's large enough to fill her up without having to work so hard to get it inside. It is a little hard on batteries. We are only getting about 20 minutes of good service from a set of alkaline batteries. The switch gets touchy as the batteries decline. Sometimes you have to turn the switch back and forth to get it to stay on. As a dildo, it is probably our favorite for size, texture, material. Being rubber gives it a little scent, but the feel more than offsets that minor issue. It works with minimum amount of lubrication.
