A Bone of My Own
Artfully designed and so much more than a double dildo. Vixen Creations have created a "strapless strap on" that provides a closeness to the genuine article, it provides amazing stimulation in a lovely package.Published: August 26, 2010
Pros:
Hypoallergenic and as close to a penis of my own as I'll ever get
Cons:
On the heavy side and you may need a harness of sorts to help it stay in
The Nexus Sr. is a strapless strap on by the good people over at Vixen Creations. It's made of their fabulous medical grade hypoallergenic silicone. My toy is in a glorious violet purple with a blue shimmer. It's so much more than that, it's the closest I'll ever get to having my own penis. Allow me, if you will, to preface this review a bit. I've wanted to try a “strapless strap on” for the longest time, Not because there is someone special in my life that needs a good fucking, but because I've always wanted to toss off, as in stroke my cock till I came sense of the phrase. However, genetics and fate gave me a vagina. So what's a girl to do?
The Nexus Sr. is fantastic, the “wearer” portion is a perfectly curved 5.5” that hit my g-spot with eye crossing accuracy, the dip at the base cradles your anatomy and rubs against the clitoris with every thrust, causing some fantastic dual stimulation. The “receiver” end is 6.5” with a pronounced head and a delicious girth. My husband used the “wearer” end as a handle when using the toy on me. As I said earlier I got this to whack off with, and so I slid it in, sighing as it nudged my g-spot, grabbed my water based lube (Sliquid organics gel) and began stroking “my cock” I noticed if I pulled too hard it didn't nudge my clit, but if I shifted my weight so my body pressed down on the base I got the best of both worlds. It took a little trial and error to find out how to manipulate the toy so I got the stimulation I wanted, but the combined sensations of my clit and g-spot being rubbed along with the weight of “my cock” in my hand was fantastic and brought me to a real knee trembler of an orgasm.
Now to the more practical aspects of the toy. Weighing in at about a pound, it's on the heavy side, so unless you have PC muscles of steel you may not have the easiest of times holding it in. I've heard several people say using button fly shorts or boxer-briefs to help hold it in worked a treat, and after using in on my husband’s flesh-light (wedged between the mattress and box spring) I'd have to concur that it does need a little help to keep in comfortably. But what a lower ab work out that was!
It's easy to clean with soap and water, toy wipes or toy cleaner. It can be sanitized with 10% bleach solution or boiling. Because it's a medium firmness medical grade silicone it can retain odors if used anally so be aware of that.
Lubricants containing silicone or silicone composites, such as dimethylcone, shouldn't be used. If you're not sure if your lube is compatible do a small test spot on an inconspicuous part of the toy (NOT WHERE THE TWO PORTIONS MEET).
This is one of those toys that I’d like to recommend to anyone with a vagina, but I know that it'll only truly be enjoyed by someone in the market for a strap on or a double ended dildo. While it's not for everyone it was perfect for me!
The Nexus comes in the standard Vixen Creations storage tube and is also available in two other sizes the Nexus Jr. and Nexus Maximus.
Feel free to ask any questions and as always have fun and be safe.

Quote: What are clean ways to clean and care for a dildo besides boiling, or sticking it in a dish washerSince my are only used personally by either myself or my partner, I wash them in hot, soapy water after use since I don't normally want to take the time to boil them or put them in with my dishes. I have done this for a couple years and have not had any problems, so I imagine that as long as your toys are not being shared with multiple people this would be plenty sanitary enough.

I also just wash my toys in soap and water. I have some boilable ones, but have never felt the need to do that, since my husband and I are the only ones who may be using them.
There are toy cleaners for sale, but they may cause irritation in some people.
