Ah, Tantus...you make the best toys! As a long time fan of the
small Silk, I was licking my chops at the idea of a larger, girthier version of my favorite friend. These types of toys have a myriad of uses, and having a large and small version of this toy in my collection has certainly allowed me to expand my little repertoire of tricks.
The
Silk Large arrived and I was pleasantly surprised at the new addition to my toy collection. I had read some prior review about how the size was disappointing; however, as a novice user, I felt at ease with the size - although still concerned that it would be a challenge. It is made of silicone which means that you can sterilize it easily by placing it in boiling water for up to 3 minutes, or use the dishwasher. Use it with a water-based lube as using silicone lube on a silicone toy is a major no-no. I received the
lavender version of Silk Large and I could wrap my hand around it without much overlap. The head is somewhat thicker than the base, although it is a gradual increase toward the top and quite lovely once in use. The material is a very
high-grade sillicone and is very pleasing to the touch. It fits nicely in a harness (although I didn't try that). The size was not intimidatingly large for me but it still gives me a little 'frisson' when my partners reaches for it to play with. To each their own in this case:)
I had this toy for a little while on my own and then began to use it with a new play partner, which has shown me what a lovely, versatile toy this can be. The nondescript features of the
Tantus Silk make it ideal for introducing to someone who may be less comfortable with more
realistic dildos. In addition, the smoothness of the material and its ability to warm up to your body temperature make it a great addition to any play you engage in.
There really were not any negatives at all in my experience of the
Tantus Silk Large. I highly recommend it for everyone’s general toy collection as it is a durable, aesthetically pleasing, versatile and high quality toy that is sure to bring lots and lots of pleasure.

Have you tried actually using it with a harness yet? I'm wondering how the base holds. Good review! Thanks!
have not yet tried it with a harness, however, the other review said that he felt it didn't feel securely in place. perhaps a thigh harness might be better.
The dimensions of this toy are not that much bigger than the Small Silk, but you can definitely feel the difference? Some people are not pleased with the size of the base that Tantus uses on their toys, but I personally haven't had any issue with the ones I have used. It's really a matter of making sure that the o-ring you are using in the harness is snug against the shaft of the dildo you are using, then the base should be fine. Thanks for the review.
