A Flurry of Disinterest

If you're shopping for a realistic or semi-realistic silicone toy, I would urge you to consider other Tantus dildos, but not this one. The Flurry is very straight-ahead (literally and figuratively) and there's really nothing unique about it. I even found it painful and uncomfortable at times.

Use

The Tantus O2 Flurry is a semi-realistic, dual-density silicone dildo. Because it has a flared base, it can be used vaginally or anally, by hand or in a strap-on. Its length and diameter are such that it would be enjoyable for people at an intermediate skill level vaginally or an intermediate-to-advanced level anally.

Material / Texture

Like all of Tantus' O2 toys, the Flurry is made of dual-density silicone. This means that its inner layer is firm, and its outer layer is soft and squishy. There is more squish in the head than there is in the shaft, much like a real penis. This has the added bonus of making it easier to avoid pain when you or your partner accidentally bumps the toy into your cervix.

This toy has a very faint silicone-y smell, which is not unpleasant. It's tasteless, as far as I've been able to detect.

This wing of the O2 line isn't meant to look especially realistic, what with its alien colors and sometimes strange shapes. The Flurry, for example, has what appears to be two coronal ridges; the second ridge could be meant to indicate an exaggerated rolled-back foreskin.

The two ridges are pretty deep and large, so if you don't like texture vaginally, you might want to stay away from this one. I found them uncomfortable upon insertion every time I used this toy.

Like most silicone toys, especially squishier ones, the Flurry eats lube like crazy. Without lube, it has a lot more drag than a glass or steel toy, so I recommend you use lots of water-based lube with this one.

Design / Shape / Size

The Flurry is a pretty average size for a dildo (but not for a human penis): 6 1/2" of insertable length, 1 1/2" diameter. My vagina's on the smaller side of average, and I could manage this toy's width fairly easily with sufficient lube, though I couldn't fit the entire length inside me.

The two ridges are meant to stimulate the G-spot, I guess, but I don't think they did a good job of that. They mainly just feel uncomfortable to me. Plus, they're so high up on the dildo that I only feel them on my G-spot if I thrust the toy very shallowly. This toy can supply me with deep penetration, or G-spot stimulation, but not both at the same time.

The Flurry's dual-density silicone feels real-ish, but it lacks the natural imperfections that an actual human penis would have, like veins and slight changes in width throughout the shaft. The Flurry's entire shaft (after the ridges) is straight, plain, and (to me) very boring. There is nothing exciting or pleasurable about the shaft, unless all you want is something to clench your muscles around.

Performance

The best use I've found for the Flurry is to put it inside me and keep it still while I masturbate clitorally, giving me something to clench down on when I have an orgasm. Other than that, I just don't enjoy it very much. The ridges verge on painful sometimes, and the shaft has virtually no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

As always, though, Tantus does a lot of things right. The Flurry has a harness-compatible base, and feels like a very high-quality silicone toy. I always feel confident that I'm going to have, at the very least, a decent experience with any Tantus toy.

Care and Maintenance

All Tantus toys are made of high-quality silicone. This one can be boiled to sanitize, or run through the dishwasher. You can also bleach it, wash it with soap and water, or spray it with an antibacterial toy spray to get it clean.

Silicone toys collect lint like crazy, so I store mine in plastic sandwich bags. I also do this so the toys don't touch each other, since it can be harmful for silicone toys to rest against one another for long periods of time.

Silicone toys are only compatible with water-based lube. Apparently Tantus toys are compatible with Tantus' own silicone-based lube, but I'd be wary about even that.

Packaging

As with every Tantus toy I've owned, the Flurry came packaged in a transparent plastic box with red text on it that clearly identified it as a sex toy. Tantus packaging isn't discreet at all, so you'd probably only want to gift it to someone in a private location.

Tantus toys come with a plastic clamshell that can be used for storage, but it's quite large so I don't recommend it if you have limited space in which to store your toys.

Personal comments

I wish I could say that I liked the Flurry more. It's the first Tantus product I've owned that really has not impressed me. I just don't think there's anything very interesting or exciting about it - it has a straight shaft and uncomfortable ridges and that's about it.
Follow-up commentary
I'm actually trying to sell my Flurry currently because I just never use it. The few times that I've tried it since writing this review, it hasn't felt good at all. It's way too straight and flat and just feels awkward inside me, like it's really not meant to be there.

All my other experiences with O2 dildos have been great. This one was just not a good match with my body and my preferences.

Thanks for the great review. The extreme straightness paired with the thin layer of the softer silicone doesn't exactly thrill me.
