Lovemoiselle Aveline - dildo by Lovemoiselle - review by Red

The Lovemoiselle Aveline comes packaged in an attractive black box, embossed in silver and shiny black with flowers and the Lovemoiselle logo. The lid of the box has a plastic window that shows the wares housed inside – the sexy and curvy Aveline, stark white against the black backdrop of the packaging, and decorated with a pretty blue flower. Opening the box reveals the entirety of the Aveline, nestled securely in a specific foam insert, which sits atop a soft velvet bag and a small instruction booklet. Prying the Aveline out of the box is a bit challenging – the foam seems hungry for the dildo. This is understandable when one considers that the Aveline is lovingly crafted from elegantly glazed ceramic, making it light, hard, excellent at absorbing and holding onto heat, and completely non-porous – all qualities that would make anyone or anything hungry with desire.

Lovemoiselle's company vision is to “help human's sexuality to bloom by creating unique and innovative objects that combine perfect function with elegant design”, and the Aveline seems to do exactly that. Aveline's curves make it look like a lazy 'J'; three waves of increasing length garnished with a simple, long stemmed flower. The tip, which is the crest of the final wave, is curved upwards just enough to glide lovingly along the front wall of some lucky vagina , promising superior g-spotting ability in it's firm, rounded wake. Please note, this toy should not be used anally, as there is no flared base to prevent loss.

Aveline is a decently sized toy – 1 5/8” diameter and up to 7” insertable length. Aveline is compatible with any lubricant one could ever desire, but the surface is so non-porous and friction free it's possible one might be able to get away without. As things get slippery during use, the purpose of Aveline's smaller waves become clear – the first dip at the handle makes a remarkably good grip spot, allowing the thumb to fold over the end and rest on the small silicone pad capping to top of Aveline. This pad seals the Aveline's interior from fluids, finishing the dildo at a spot that no doubt is a necessary part of the ceramic production process. The pad also, conveniently, serves as a place for a thumb to rest, to grip in the face of the frictionless fluid covered glaze, to control the way the Aveline slips lazily to and fro amidst shaking legs and squirting orgasms.

Lovemoiselle promises that their entire range of dildos is exceptionally durable, strong and safe to use. The ceramic can chip, however, and any chip in the glaze would render this toy unsafe to use due to the possibility of shattering at an inopportune moment. This is not too different from a glass dildo, but the Aveline seems stronger and more durable than the average glass toy. And like glass, it is also wise to avoid sharp temperature changes (like, from boiling water into a freezer, or vice versa) with the Aveline, lest the thermal stress induce a fracture. But smaller temperature changes are certainly tolerated by the Aveline – running it under hot water (or placing it in a bowl of ice water) is certainly on the menu with this toy. Ceramic is actually much more pleasant than glass for temperature play – the Aveline absorbs heat fast, and holds onto it once it has it – the Aveline will warm to body temperature within a few strokes, or simply by holding it tightly in ones hands for a moment.

The Aveline is a joy to use. Like a gorgeous bra and panty set, the Aveline will make you feel luxurious and breathtakingly sexy as it wetly slips in and out. The (virtually) frictionless glaze needs little lube to get slippery, and the Aveline warms to body temperature very quickly. Aveline feels buttery when rubbed over external surfaces, and feels prominent and demanding when rubbed up against a g-spot. Like all great relationships, my passionate times with the Aveline are still so smoking hot. I am being a responsible citizen, however - I am avoiding frantic solo sex sessions in the forest near home, lest the sparks ignite the dry underbrush. It IS summer time dry fire season, after all :)

In all serious though, this toy is still utterly divine. I have dropped it, I will admit, and it did not break or crack or anything. And as well, I have spent some time absentmindedly picking away at the silicone plug, and that is still as watertight as the day it arrived.

I cannot recommend this piece enough. It is a g-spotting pro, and a work of art that is a pleasure to look at, use, dream about and touch.
