Purple mystery - double ended dildo discontinued by Glassvibrations - review by Mamastoys

The Purple Mystery by Glass Vibrations arrived in a box that was made of thicker cardboard from anything I have ever received. The front had a clear plastic cover that revealed a beautiful purple dildo nestled in a satin bed. Upon opening the box, the dildo comes with a velvety black storage bag but to my disappointment, the bag has absolutely no padding. The satin lining in the box does not come out. The dildo was secured in the box by two elastic ties. The box itself has some instructions on the back, providing the instructions in six different languages. The instructions include checking for cracks, use only the correct side, do not throw the toy on the floor or against a hard surface, never keep the toy with other items, especially hard items, do not heat in the microwave, do not cool with dry ice, heat only by using a water bath, cool only in the refrigerator or freezer.

The dildo itself is an elegantly designed toy made of tempered glass and is constructed skillfully and tastefully. Tempered glass is more resistant to shattering and breaking than ordinary glass. Glass is easy to clean using warm water and antibacterial soap or a commercial toy cleaner. A condom should be used if the toy is being shared. Silicone, water, or oil based lubes can be used with this toy and only a small amount is required since glass is nonporous.

The Purple Mystery is a nine inch dildo that features a swirled texture. The dildo starts out with a slightly pointed end that swirls and increases in diameter. After reaching its biggest diameter, it has two slightly curved bumps, followed by a smaller swirled ending. At the widest point, the circumference is five inches. All nine inches are insertable if desired. The dildo weighs in at one and a half pounds.

This toy is designed for solo or partner play. The smaller end is easy to hold onto while the larger, bulbous end is used to thrust and stimulate the G-spot. This toy is small enough that beginners can use it but large enough that the more experienced user will also enjoy it. Care should be given when thrusting as to not thrust too hard or too deep due to the pointed end. This dildo can be used as a “warm up” toy or to provide orgasm at its fullest. Only a small amount of lube is required, otherwise, it becomes too slippery and hard to hold onto. The Purple Mystery does not have a flared end and therefore I would not recommend it for anal use.

Having used the dildo for both solo and partner play, it has proven to be as elegant as it looks and the performance of glass has not failed. Only a very small amount of lube was needed and the slight curve in the middle provided the perfect angle for G-spot stimulation.

This dildo is one of my favorites and I am sad to see that it is no longer available on this site. I love the glass, the color purple, and the easy care. This item is used regularly and has even been dropped on a ceramic tile floor with no damage.
