A revolutionary work of dildo art.

The O2 Revolution is an expensive toy, but it is worth it, given the quality of the product. The O2 material is soft, squishy, delicious to the touch, and pleasing to the eye. Better still, it’ll stretch and satisfy any orifice it’s inserted into and is good for G-spot or P-spot play. The Revolution is big, satisfying, and a good choice for size queens or anyone else who would like to add a dildo that is both hygienic and beautifully-designed to their collection.

Use

The O2 Revolution can be used for either vaginal or anal play, provided you sterilize it in between switching orifices. The flared base does not include a hole for a bullet vibe, but is wide enough to both prevent the toy from getting lost inside your body and make it harness-compatible.

Material / Texture

Since this toy is my first experience with dual-density silicone, I was absolutely blown away by how soft, squishy, and delicious the O2 Revolution felt in my hands the first time I took it out of its packaging. The head contains the highest percentage of the O2 material, and there is progressively less of it further down the shaft, up to the base, which is made entirely of regular silicone and contains none of the softer variety. The head is smooth, and the shaft contains bumps and ridges that are supposed to simulate the veins on a real penis, but feel only vaguely realistic.

As with other silicone, this toy should be odorless and tasteless. However, I was surprised to find that, in spite of being 100% silicone, the Revolution had a noticeable plastic-y scent out of the package. I figured that maybe this was due to something left over from the factory, and not the material itself. To test this and try to get rid of the smell, I washed the toy with soap and water before using it for the first time and left it to dry. I sniffed the toy again and the scent was gone. Strange.

Keeping this toy's surface free of dirt and dust is an especially difficult feat. Most of my toys are silicone, so I have some experience with this. However, I can definitely say that this O2 material is much worse in terms of attracting dust, compared to regular, run-of-the mill silicone. All I have to do is let it touch any sort of material and so many fibers are left behind that the toy looks extremely dirty, and I have to clean it again. At least this material is easy to care for.

Design / Shape / Size

My first reaction upon taking the Revolution’s package out of its white mailing box was: “Holy shit, this is big!” This is definitely a toy that you need to actually see in person to appreciate both its size and how gorgeous it is. The name “ice” is very appropriate for the color that I ordered, since it looks like a carefully-molded ice sculpture sitting in its plastic box. It’s a much lighter blue color in person than it appears on this site, but I’m not complaining. The head is almost a pure white where the O2 material is the thickest; you can sort of see the firmer core running through the center of the dildo. It becomes slightly more visible as you go further down the toy, until you get to the base, which is a darker blue (or darker pink or purple, depending on which color you choose).

The Revolution is not the biggest thing that I could ever imagine -- or have seen in a shop -- but, make no bones about it: it’s still BIG. It’s about an average length at 7" long, but is very girthy, particularly at the head. I measured mine at more than 1.75” in diameter, which translates to about 6” in circumference and makes it slightly larger than what is listed on this site. It’s probably manageable for intermediate users to take vaginally, but it's definitely for the advanced anal crowd. The head is the widest part of the toy, and it gradually narrows in circumference further down the toy. There’s little-to-no curve in the toy’s shaft, but the fact that the head is so bulged provides a good opportunity for G-spot or P-spot stimulation, as the head drags against your walls as you insert it.

This toy is in no way discreet, since it looks like a giant blue penis. There's no getting around that fact, and even a complete novice to sex toys would figure out what this is.

Performance

Tantus’ O2 silicone is billed as a more realistic alternative to their regular silicone products, which are also of good quality, but harder and not as realistic. The Revolution is relatively floppy; and I can bend it in half relatively easily, but do feel some resistance from the inner material as I do so. I tried waving it around in a feeble imitation of Luke Skywalker wielding his light saber for the first time in Episode IV (well, I’m a nerd, and mine IS the right color). The toy flops around and, when I tried holding it horizontally, it bobbed slightly but did not bend. I hit it against my hand and it bobbed somewhat convincingly, but it is much firmer than a real penis.

I had almost as much fun squeezing and playing with this toy manually as I did actually using it for its intended purpose . . . with a BIG emphasis on the “almost” there. Even now, I can’t stop squishing the head of this toy. Honestly, if the material that they use for those stress balls felt like this, I’d have bought a lot more of those by now! The base is also harness-compatible, but there is no hole in the base for a bullet vibe, nor is there any sort of bullet included with this dildo. I’m not complaining about this since I’ve found the quality of Tantus’ bullets to be lacking, but I digress.

Speaking of which: since the toy is so big and girthy at the head, I almost feel as though the base is too small for its size and weight. The Revolution is relatively heavy, and I would swear that this toy looks very top-heavy and ungainly when it is upright on a flat surface. It could just be my imagination, though, and the base is not narrow enough to make anal insertion a liability.

Care and Maintenance

Although this toy is a lint and dust magnet, it is very easy to clean. I cleaned mine with antibacterial soap and water after I was done using it, but it can also be boiled for three minutes, put in a 10% bleach solution, or run through the dishwasher. As with other silicone toys, please do not use silicone lube when playing with this toy. Since the silicone molecules in these lubes may bond to silicone toys and make their surfaces tacky, I can only imagine that this effect would be exacerbated on a toy with such a soft, delicate surface as the O2 material. Plus, this would be a very expensive error. I'm currently storing my Revolution in its original box, since I'm paranoid that the soft material may get disfigured if I just throw it into my toy box. I plan on buying a separate pouch for it.

Packaging

The packaging for this toy is a typical clear Tantus box; if you have bought any of their other products, it is essentially the same. There is a hook used for hanging the product on a store rack at the top. The side proclaims that this toy is made of 100% silicone, one of the main selling points for Tantus; and a large sticker on the front reads: “Feels real – squeeze me!” The positioning of this sticker is strange, given the fact that the entire dildo is encased in plastic and you CAN’T squeeze this toy or feel it if you walked into a store, found it on a shelf, and read the sticker. But I digress.

Nothing about the design of the box seems over-the-top or trashy (it is basically just a white and red box with text on it). If it weren't for the fact that you can clearly see the product through the transparent packaging, I would call it discreet. The back and sides contain various information about what makes Tantus toys superior in quality: they specialize in only silicone ones. The back tells you that this toy is made of “100% Ultra-Premium Platinum Silicone" and gives other selling points.

Experience

I must stress again that this toy is BIG. I’m a pretty small person (build-wise, not height-wise), and I’m not a size queen at all. Before I bought the Revolution, the largest toy I had taken vaginally was the regular (non-O2) Rascal, which is about 5.5" in circumference and short in overall length. My initial impression was that the Revolution looked and felt much larger to me than my Rascal does, even though I looked at the specs on Eden and they are listed as being the same. When I placed the toys side-by-side, this confirmed my initial suspicion and I decided to test this out for myself. I tried to fellate the Rascal first, followed by the Revolution. I concluded that there’s absolutely NO way that this and the Rascal are the same size. I was able to comfortably take the Rascal all the way to the base. The Revolution required my jaw to stretch much further, almost uncomfortably so, although I still took about as much of it as I did of the much shorter Rascal. Since Tantus hand-makes all of their toys, it's pretty likely that this accounts for the slight difference.

As I already said, it took a fair amount of warming up, both with fingers and smaller toys, before I was able to take the Revolution vaginally. I didn’t use it anally -- and didn’t even attempt it since vaginal use was enough of a feat. I started to push this toy in, felt myself stretching open and thought, “There’s no way this is going to fit.” However, it did -- and felt quite good, at that. The squishiness of the head helped with insertion; had this been a similar-sized toy made of a harder material, you could probably forget it. It’s REALLY filling and, needless to say, a lot of lube is on the menu here.

The head is very soft and created a nice amount of drag, although I wasn’t able to really feel the veins further down the toy since I didn’t need to insert it that far. I found that the easiest and most comfortable way for me to use this was to thrust only the head and a small portion of the shaft in and out, and feel the large, pronounced ridge on the front of it rub against my anterior vaginal wall and G-spot. I don’t tend to require a lot of length or insert my toys all of the way; I tried doing this with the Revolution and found that it bumped against my cervix more than I generally like, so shallow thrusts worked much better for me and felt absolutely lovely in practice.
Follow-up commentary
This toy is still one of my favorites. Since it is rather large for regular use and I'm not always in the mood to warm up to it, it doesn't see as much use as some of my other more modestly-proportioned toys. However, it is one of those toys that I will occasionally pull out just to squeeze and play with in my hands, and it is definitely satisfying when I am in the mood for a larger dildo.
