Swirled blue dildo by Don Wands - review by PiratePrincess

When I first got this toy, I noticed how beautiful it was, as is the case with most glass toys. The head is clear and the shaft has navy blue swirls down to the base. The Swirled blue dildo can be used for either vaginal or anal use due to the flared base at the bottom. The shaft is also slightly curved which allows for firm pressure to be placed on your g-spot, which feels wonderful when thrusting or when using a gentle rocking motion.

This beautiful dildo is made of pyrex glass and features blue ribbons going around the shaft, which creates a wonderful texture. The head is entirely smooth. It is also hypo-allergenic and phthalates free. It arrived in a plastic case with the Don Wands logo on it on the front and simple care instructions on the back. The plastic was entirely clear and both the product and the large padded bag it comes with can be seen quite easily. It also comes with a free sample of Wet silicone lube. The head of the dildo is made out of solid glass and the shaft appears to be hollow inside. This is not a problem and there were no imperfections in the glass.

The entire dildo is about 7 1/2 inches long, and the bulbous head is two inches long. The diameter of the shaft is about 1 1/4 inches and the head at it’s widest point measures about 1 3/4 inches. Because glass is hard and rigid, this may feel larger than some toys with more give, but it does produce a wonderfully full sensation when inserted.

The swirls on the dildo are easily felt during insertion, and if you are not a fan of texture, you may want to stay away from this one. The texture was very stimulating, although I found that when using lube and thrusting, the swirls caused a bit of a squishy “gurp” sound to occur, although it didn’t really bother me. The base on the dildo makes a lovely handle when thrusting and also makes it safe to use for anal play, although I have never tried this.

The nature of a glass dildo makes it wonderful for temperature play. Simply run it under hot or cold water or dip it in a bowl of hot or cold water for a few seconds, and the glass will take the temperature change quite quickly. If left at room temperature, the glass will likely feel slightly cool to the touch.

To care for your dildo, simply wash with soap and warm water. The ridges on the shaft may require some extra attention, so make sure you spend a little time making sure that there are no extra secretions in between the ribbons. I have found that using a q-tip works well for this purpose. To sterilize, the dildo can be dipped into boiling water or run through the dishwasher. You can also use a 10% bleach solution. It is compatible with any type of lubricant, although because the glass is so smooth, you may need just a little, or none at all. With glass a little goes a long way, so make sure not to use too much at one time. The dildo will be hard to break, but if you ever notice any chips discontinue use immediately. Keep the dildo in the heavily padded case it comes with, and your toy should last for years to come.

I would recommend this to any user, although beginners may find the textured shaft and unforgiving nature of glass a little much at first.
