A Very Small Silk Dildo

Because of the cleaning and maintenance, I'm going to have to give it four stars. The cleaning just isn't
a turn on. However, in respect to my Silk, I'm going to have to say that it is perfect in every way for the
anal beginner or sex toy virgin. It is comfortable, made of terrific material by a terrific company, hypoallergenic, nonporous, and then some!

Use

This anal-use-focused dildo gives a beginner a good toy to introduce them to the world of anal sex, and pegging. This is an extremely easy-to-use dildo that can be used handheld or in a harness, and it is easy to manipulate. It's good for anal and vaginal use, and it will fit comfortably in any orifice, not causing any pain if used properly and with a good amount of lube. One can use it anywhere or anytime, and since it's non porous, one can use it safely with every brand or type of lubricant except silicone based. The large flat base makes this 4 1/2 inch perfectly usable for any kind of play, as stated. It won't bruise a cervix or p-spot because it is flexible, stretch, and soft, but it will hold firm as well. It is a terrific dildo to use for G-spot stimulation as well, because of the curve on the end of it.

Material / Texture

Although I have to store my Silk in a plastic sandwich bag (it seems that all Tantus's silicone toys attract particles of all sorts, which means that when I go to wash it and dry it off with a towel, the particles of the towel will be immediatly attracted to the material and will be a hassle to get rid of every time), it is a wonderful add to my toy collection and I am very proud to finally have it. The silicone doesn't smell at all, or taste of anything odd, and it is a firm yet flexible material, which makes any and all insertion extremely comfortable, and easy, with lube (I use water-based on silicone). The smooth silky feel of the silicone that this dildo is molded of is a perfect material for penetration, and anyone can use it, whether they be a beginner or an advanced user. As a beginner to the world of pegging myself, I find this smaller dildo a better fit to my needs, but advanced users are welcome to use this size as well. Whatever floats your boat!

Some features you'll find on the product page for this dildo include it being nonporous, hypoallergenic,
latex-free, phthalates-free, made of food grade material, and 100% silicone. It's entire length is 4 1/2
inches, while its insertable length is 3 3/4 inches. It is harness compatible and weighs exactly 0.2 pounds.

Design / Shape / Size

Four and a half inches is a perfect size for an anal beginner, and this dildo is no exception to the rule.
The design of the dildo is perfect for me, personally, and I love that it is stretchy, flexible, and yet firm
enough to insert comfortably. Also, it does not cause pain or irritate, and in no way is it too big. It is the
perfect size for me to begin my experimentations and explorations with, and I absolutely love it. At first
glance, I was sure that the size would be too small, but when I went to try my Silk out, and it didn't hurt,
but caused pleasure in my rectum, I knew that it would be perfect for months and years to cum. (Yes, pun
intended.) Average users are welcome to use this dildo, as are advanced, but in my opinion, it is the perfect
toy for a beginner, a virgin even, who is scared of regular dildos but has become curious about the world of
sex toys. This is a perfect example of an ergonomic toy. It isn't too realistic, even with the curve that is perfect for G-spot and P-spot stimulation, but to me it is kind of discreet. It's obviously a dildo, but sometimes you might not be able to tell, because it's not too large. Personally I don't know if it would be recognizable as a dildo at first glance, so if you leave it out accidentally, someone might walk by without even noticing what it is.

Performance

I can't think of any problems I had with it, aside from the fact that when I move up I might want something
larger. But for the purpose that I got it for, it's absolutely perfect. I love the Silk's versatility, flexibility, firmness, shape, appeal, texture, and material. It's comfortable in all aspects, perfect for an anal beginner like me, and it can also be used in the shower, bath, and wherever else I want to use it. It's small enough to hide, easy to store, and then some. Just not so easy to clean!

Care and Maintenance

I would say that the care and maintenance of my Silk has been quite a problem, and I haven't had it very long. Like my Ryder butt plug (also by Tantus), the silicone that it was molded of attracts particles, and lots of them. Sure, the pros outweigh the cons, but this is still annoying as hell. To clean it, I have to spray a bunch of toy cleanser or scrub it with soap and water, and then rinse it. Preferably I like to let it air dry because then no towels (that I might use to dry it off) will leave their particles all over it. But when I'm in a hurry, I try to use a paper towel or something that won't leave lint particles. It's hard to find something that doesn't when you're in a hurry.

To store it, I keep it in a plastic Ziploc sandwich bag to keep the lint off. Bags and socks for storage aren't very attractive to me, but sadly, they are necessary.

As for lubes, I use water-based because I can be sure it is safe and won't "deteriorate" my Silk. I'm sure
some silicone lubes are deemed safe (or so I've heard), but just to be 100% on the safe side, I wouldn't use
anything made of silicone to lubricate this toy.

Have you tried this in a harness yet? Sometimes short toys can be a bit too short, and I was wondering if the Silk was long enough to work well.

So the "hard to clean" is the dildo attracting lint?
  • Contributor: Xavier7
I don't own a harness, so I'm not able to try it out in one yet...sadly. It is short, but I don't know much about that category. That's a great question though. There's other reviewers you could ask about this, who probably have harnesses.

Yes. The hard to clean part is its lint collecting. It's very aggravating.
