This is undeniably a beautiful dildo. Of the glass dildos that I have, it's one of the prettiest. The curves are smooth and gorgeously delineated, and it has the same sensual appeal as a particularly well-designed car.

Where it disappoints, though, is in action.

Because of the design, this toy isn't suited for anal use. For vaginal use, I find it more awkward than stimulating, with the teardrop shaped end being uncomfortably pointed. The balls are too slim in profile to really offer enough stimulation.

If you're looking for something different or are just interested in the looks, this might be a toy worth picking up. If you're in it for the pleasure, though, I recommend skipping this one.

The Crystal lover dildo is made of glass, and of the glass toys I have, it's one of the best crafted. There are no issues with the design- it's the exact shape and diameter promised- and there are no flaws in the dildo. No bubbles, no scratches; it's truly gorgeous to look at.

It's smooth with no texture, and has the hard, unyielding texture that is the signature of glass.

Design is where this toy unfortunately fails for me.

The first bit of awkwardness came in deciding how to use it. When inserting the teardrop shaped end, the bubbles allow for a handle- the other way around, though, is much more awkward. I found it difficult to hold onto the slimmer end with a lube-slick hand, and frequently dropped it during use.

I think I might have enjoyed this toy more if it were thicker and had a blunter end on the teardrop.

The only plus I can think of to the design is that it doesn't really look like a dildo.

The teardrop is uncomfortable when used vaginally. I think this mostly comes from how pointy the tip of it is. Glass has no give, so the slimness of that tip can jab uncomfortably when inserted. I did find that it could be angled for a-spot stimulation, but I've found other toys that perform that role better with half the awkwardness.

The bubbled end was more interesting, but it also fell short. If there had been a third ball and they'd been a bit thicker, I think I would've enjoyed them. As it was, though, I found that it was too slim for the straight shaft to really offer much stimulation. I could feel the second ball rubbing against the entrance of my vagina during thrusts, but it wasn't enjoyable for me.

It does hold cold and heat well for temperature play, and the entirely smooth surface means that it can be taken with very little lubricant.

Glass is relatively easy to care for. The Crystal lover dildo comes with a thin storage bag that the dildo should be kept in between uses, and a solid package that could provide a better storage option. You won't want to store this alongside other toys without padding, as toys clinking together or being dropped can damage glass.

Glass is easy to clean. I simply run it under warm water with a mild soap after use and dry with a soft cloth. It can be sterilized by boiling, if you're interested in sharing toys with someone.

I've had this toy for a month. I've put off writing the review this long because I just couldn't really think of much to say about it. It's not a horrible dildo, but it's also not one I ever see myself reaching for again. It's mediocre.
