Doc Johnson's Reflections Amber glass dildo is intended for vaginal penetration. The based is flared enough that you can carefully use it for anal (be careful with too much lube!). It is completely smooth with no texture (though the design is "wavy" and creates nice sensations). I think this would be good for beginners, though if you're worried about girth, the Icicles No. 8 may be more up your alley as it is less girthy.

This toy is pretty simple, though it can be used for masturbation with or without an external vibrator, or you can use it with a partner. You can thrust it or just leave it in and ride it while using an external vibrator. It can also be used for temperature play by putting it in warm or cool water for a period of time. Be careful while thrusting though, as it is glass and can bruise you if you're too rough with it.

I personally like to pair this (and all of my glass toys) with my JimmyJane Form 2. I haven't had the chance to use it with a partner yet, but I'm sure I'll enjoy that too!

Reflections Amber is made of beautiful, smooth glass. Specifically, it is made of tempered glass, which EF considers to be a 10/10 on the safety scale. Tempered glass is a non-porous food-grade material, and hypo-allergenic, latex free, and phthalates free. Glass is very firm, with no give at all. Tempered glass does not shatter - instead, if you break this it will break into noticeable chunks.

There is no texture to this toy, though her shape is curvy and slightly bulbous. I think she'd be a great start for someone curious about glass but who isn't ready for texture yet. More advanced users may steer away from this since there is no texture, but the design is quite a nice feeling so I do recommend it.

Upon arrival of this toy, I did notice a weird feeling to the glass. It was almost like a filmy feeling, something I've not noticed before with glass. After washing it, the filmy feeling did go away. There is no smell or taste to glass.

The shape of Reflections Amber is one that I've been lusting after for a while. Even after just a few days of use, I can tell this one will stick around for regular use. Part of me wants to compare this to how I like my women: curvy in the right places. The other part of me wants to just say that it is a lightly bulbous design. I couldn't decide which to use for the best description, so you get both!

The bulbed base is easy to hold onto for use with a partner. This is slightly larger than the Icicles No. 8 that shares a similar overall design. This one is 7.75" long, with an insertable length of 6.50". The diameter is 1.25", and is not intimidating at all.

It really is just a pretty piece of glass, though I wish the amber in the center was a different color (say, red or blue or green) or at least more saturated. The real color on this toy comes from the iridescent color on the outside, which makes it difficult to see the amber coloring to begin with.

I would consider this one to be a whimsical design. It looks like a pretty paperweight if left out, so I guess it is a bit discreet. If stored properly, this would work for travel!

In case you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a big fan of glass. I love that I can pop it in the refrigerator overnight for a cool sensation while masturbating, and the bulbous/curvaceous design feels great for any temperature play. Leave it in a bowl of warm (not hot!!) water for 20 minutes, and it feels wonderful!

Some may find that this is too big (thankfully the Icicles No. 8 is a great, smaller alternative), while others may find this too small. Personally, it fit me just right. As a dildo, it does its job. It hit my G-spot and feels wonderful.

Glass is extremely easy to care for, as it can be boiled, run through the dishwasher, wiped down with alcohol or a bleach mixture or toy cleaner, or washed with good ol' soap and water.

Glass is also compatible with whatever you lubricant preference is. You can use water, silicone or oil based lubricants with this. I found that I didn't need any as it is smooth enough to just slide in with no drag whatsoever.

Unfortunately, Reflections Amber did not come with a storage bag, so I need to pick one up for it ASAP. In the mean time, it is wrapped in a towel and in my toy box. Since it is glass, you'll want to store it in a somewhat cushioned spot or toy bag.

There are no instructions or storage case included.

The box is not discreet, so if you're gifting this to someone, you may wish to give it to them privately or warn them to open up at a later time.

Although I overall enjoyed her, Reflections Amber isn't my favorite by any means. I wish her amber coloring was more vibrant, and perhaps a different color. I really look forward to using her with a partner though, as I think she'll provide a lot of fun!
