Icicles No. 8 - sex toy by Pipedream - review by Peggi

The Icicles No. 08 is a part of Pipedream's icicles line. It is meant to be a dildo for both vaginal and anal insertion.

This dildo is made out of a strong material called pyrex glass. This material is not as forgiving as some materials may be, so care should be taken so as not to bruise the cervix during use. Glass is great, because it can be sterilized and it does not easily break. It will have no unpleasant taste or smell and works well for temperature play. To use temperature play, simply place in a bowl of hot or cold water for a few minutes! You will want to avoid placing this toy in the microwave or in the freezer for temperature play, as this can actually cause the glass to become brittle, crack or fracture.

Before each use, always check your glass toys to make sure there are no cracks or chips in the glass. Cracks are not only unsafe but can allow bacteria to grow inside of the nooks and crannies.

The Icicles No. 08 is 7" long from one end to the other. It is 5 1/4" in circumference on the largest round bulb and the smaller end is 3.5" around. The dildo has two same-sized bumps in the middle of the shaft. The primary color for the dildo is clear, with blue swirls going down the center on the inside. The most interesting and eye-catching thing about this toy is that the toy is not only blue, but the light reflects off of the glass! The blue reflects to other colors, and the clear portion reflects the light as well! You can see a rainbow of colors at various times from yellow to red to green!



The dildo has no curves or strange shapes to it, just a long, straight piece of glass. The texture comes from the bumps in the design, which add to the experience. It feels lightweight in the body and the bumps create a great sensation vaginally as well as anally. Because there is the larger bulb on one side, you are able to use this toy anally and use the large bulb as a flared base. About 6" of this toy can be inserted both vaginally or anally.



While this dildo is fantastic for internal stimulation, it is also great at teasing some of your more sensitive external areas as well. Because of how well it works with holding temperatures, it is great for those who like to add hot or cold play to their bedroom fun time! I prefer hot play over cold, and this wand works so well for that! I love the No. 08!

Overall, the No. 08 is no different to clean or care for than any other glass dildo. You will want to use water with antibacterial soap, toy cleaners, toy wipes or isopropyl alcohol. To sterilize this toy, boil for a few minutes or soak for a little while in a 10% bleach solution. If you sterilize your toys (those which should be, of course) you are safe to share this toy with a partner even without a condom! Just make sure that you always sterilize toys in between partners! Glass toys are fine to use with all oil-based, water-based or silicone-based lubricants.

The toy comes in a nice box. You may use the box or use a toy pouch for storage. The toy is not discreet, so unless you are in a household where it is ok to display dildos like this one, you will want to find a safe, padded place for your toy.

The box is 10" tall, 4" wide so it doesn't take up too much space. It has a picture of the toy on the front and if you pull the ribbon and open the magnetic flap to reveal the toy. The toy is inside of a foam cutout to keep it safe during shipping and during storage. Unfortunately, there were some pen marks on my box, but that's a minor imperfection and I don't plan to exchange it just for that.
