Batter Up... Bat Up Her, Whatever.

Belladonna's Batter Up is a hard plastic baseball-bat shaped dildo that contains some kind of fluid inside that allows users to experiment with temperature play. It's also huge, so it should appeal not only to Belladonna and baseball fans, but also those who like large, non-vibrating toys. I'm not at all impressed with the workmanship, though. Mine came with dings on the handle and a few rough patches on the very visible seam.

extremely useful review
Well, here's something I haven't tried before now: a dildo shaped like a baseball bat. Belladonna's Batter Up is made from hot pink ABS plastic, and it comes packaged in a clear plastic clamshell with a paper insert containing product information and a photo on the back of what I assume to be Belladonna. Because the bat itself is so big, the packaging was too long to fit in my sex toy storage containers, so I recycled it.

Belladonna's Batter Up sports 10 insertable inches before you even get to the handle, which adds close to another 6 inches to the total length, and the top girth is a generous 5 1/4 inches. This is easily the biggest plaything in my collection. Not only is the Batter Up substantial in size, it's also fairly heavy, weighing in at just over a pound.

I was surprised to discover that the bat isn't solid plastic. Turns out it's filled with a liquid that allows you to run it under warm water to heat it up or cold water to cool it down for temperature play. This liquid probably also contributes to the weight. I think glass and metal are better suited for temperature play because those materials are better at retaining the temperature, but this is the first liquid-filled plastic sex toy I've seen.

The surface is smooth--or at least, I'm sure it's supposed to be. The Batter Up I received has a very visible seam with a few rough patches, which was disappointing, and I saw that the handle has a few dings when I first took it out of the packaging. Luckily, though, I don't notice the seam when I'm using this toy. Due to the size, I use plenty of lube (plastic is compatible with all types), which I think must help cover up the scratchy places on the seam. The handle dings are pretty much inconsequential, and only really noticeable if you look for them, but they're still there, and I don't think they should be.

I should note that with the flared base and handle, this toy is perfectly safe for anal play, but didn't use it for that. I'm personally not ready for something this large, and--at the risk of sounding pessimistic--I'm not sure I ever will be, but it works well enough when I use it vaginally.
Experience
Belladonna's Batter Up is definitely capable of filling me up. I can't take the whole thing, even at mid-cycle when my cervix is positioned higher, but I pretty much knew that the length would be too much for me when I got it. I have no problem with the girth, however. Of course, this isn't the dildo to grab for a quick orgasm, as I need to warm up with a smaller toy first, but there's something about going slow and prolonging arousal that I really enjoy (when I have the time to indulge, that is).

It's not the most user-friendly toy for me, though. The length alone makes it awkward because my arms just aren't long enough to comfortably hold the handle for any extended period of time. That, and it's totally straight, and I prefer a curved shaft for G-spot stimulation. Although, with this much girth, I think it would be hard to not come into contact with the G-spot.

Overall, I think this dildo could be better made, and I believe it's more suited for partner play. Users who have somebody else willing to take control of the Batter Up won't have any issues with their arms getting tired from reaching the handle. But even when used solo, the Batter Up gives me a lovely full sensation. With some shallow thrusting and a little twisting action, paired with clitoral stimulation, I'm able to have seriously powerful orgasms with it.
Follow-up commentary
It's not that I didn't like it to begin with, but more a case of this just isn't really my type of toy. I'm glad I accepted it for review, because I'm open to try new things. I was able to get off with it, but it's definitely not my favorite sex toy. Also, I'm not a big fan of Belladonna, so the novelty value is pretty much lost on me.

Great review! Does anyone know what kind of liquid is inside?

The notes on the build quality would outweigh the novelty for me. Thanks for the review.

Nice review. This one is so... weird? I would never think of buying something like this other than keeping it for a novelty. It looks more like an actual bat lol.

Thank you for reading and commenting, everybody! I looked at the Doc Johnson website to try and figure out what kind of liquid is inside this bat, and I can't seem to find any kind of information on it.

It seems like sex toys should have better labels with more information than they include.
