Beautiful and Practical

This toy is well worth the money you spend on it. The ability to change the temperature is my favorite feature.

Pros:
Its sleek design is great for anyone looking to experience glass toys.
Cons:
It does not have a case to protect it.

I wanted to know what I was missing out with glass wands and I was not disappointed. When this wand arrived, it was love at first sight. It is pretty and the size is not intimidating. The clear smooth glass with the swirling blue ribbon inside and the three different sized humps along the shaft makes this one of the most attractive looking probes that I own.

It is beautiful and its design is sleek is perfect for anyone from beginner to advanced. The three humps are not large and if you are use to larger toys a clitoral vibrator makes a perfect addition to the icicle. Another great feature of this probe is that phallic shaped toys makes you nervous, than you will be happy to know that this is not one of them. Since this was my first experience with glass, I was exited to find out that I could change the temperature either by running it under warm water or by placing it in the freezer. The best part is neither heating nor cooling it off takes very long. The different sensations are great. There is a larger ball on the end for a handle and keeping a hold of it was easy on my hands. On the other hand, inserting the handle first gives a much larger filling sensation.

Cleanup and storing it is easy. Warm water and soap or a sex toy cleaners work great. My only problem is that I wish it came in a case to protect it better. The texture of the probe is smooth and the only changes are the humps. If you hate the smell of sex toys, than this is the toy for you because it is scentless. Overall, if you are new to glass and are not looking to spend a lot of money this toy is well worth its price.
Follow-up commentary
I still love this toy. I believe that glass is a necessary addition to any collection and I am currently shopping for a model that has more texture variations. I have turned it around and have inserted it handle first and have found that to be a very pleasurable change.

I have a toy from the same line (Pipedream Icicles) and I agree-- they are awesome, cheaper alternatives to Pyrex glass toys. I saw the tapered teaser in a store and was tempted to get it but got the one next to it instead. Nice review.

Good review - I have a Topco Pure Pleasure probe which was my introduction to glass toys. I think I will purchase this one and add some color to my toy collection,

I am looking to add another glass toy to my collection and I might have to look into the ones that both of you own.

The one I got was the Icicles Anal Beads link . It's not on EF, but my boyfriend and I loved them! Great for anal play!

Hooray for affordable glass! You listed your only con as not having a case: the "cases" that come with the super-expensive Phallix toys are flimsy and useless, so you're not missing out on much.
Glad you liked it!

I agree with tg... the "case" that came with my Phallix toy was just a lavender drawstring bag. This looks great though!

I am still shopping around for a case that will work.

I have been looking at this one - it looks like a good one, and affordable as well. Have you tried the felt lined wine bags? They seem like they might make a good storage bag.

I'm looking to get some basic glass eventually. This seems like a good choice. Thanks for reviewing!

  • Glass or Vibe
    • I enjoy vibrators, but i love the look of these glass stimulators. Which is better?
    • I think they are not very comparable... They serve different purposes.

glass is alot of fun, but anything that vibrates creates more sensation.

  • Color in glass
    • Would you buy more than one of these beauties if they came in multiple colors?
    • Probably not. I'd buy one in the most aesthetically pleasing color to me.
    • no, i would buy my favorite color!

  • Cracks or Swirls?
    • Well, now that my fears about bubbles have been alleviated, here's a different one. The Icicles No. 8 is freaking beautiful, no doubt about it. It's got that awesome double-helix pattern going on inside. But after I received mine, upon close inspection, I noticed that there seemed to be what looked like small, smooth cracks on two or three spots. I felt a bit alarmed, but then I realized that they ran along the edge of the helix pattern - pretty much part of it. Since the toy feels completely smooth, I'm thinking that they might just be hiccups that occurred when the toy was made. I've used it without any trouble, but it's still bugging me a bit. What do you guys think?
    • Actually, I've had the opportunity to handle five or sixpof these in a store, on top of the one that I own. I've noticed that most of these lovelies have this "cracked" look, and I believe it's actually part of the design. Hope this is helpful! :)

That's what I thought. :) Good to know, especially since I absolutely love mine. (h) Thanks!
