Icicles No. 32 - dildo sex toy by Pipedream - review by Breas

The Icicles No. 32 by Pipedream arrived in a rectangular, cardboard package. The front of the box has an image of the toy, states the product name, and company name. The back of the packaging has another photo of the toy and states a product description. The front of the packaging opens up like a book with a little ribbon handle. Once you open the front, the toy can be seen through the packaging. The toy is sitting inside of a foam cut-out. It’s cute packaging, which can be used for storage, but it’s rather large. I would have preferred it came with a storage pouch to save space.



The toy is made out of borosilicate glass. I like mentioning in my reviews of glass toys that there is a difference between this type of glass and regular glass. I know that before I began using glass toys, I had that thought in my head of, “oh gosh, it’ll break!” Borosilicate glass is less dense than regular glass. This just means that if it were to ever break, it would not shatter into tiny little pieces. Instead, the glass would break into large chunks. I own a number of glass toys and have dropped many of them. None of my glass toys have ever broken. They are very, very durable.



I love the look of Icicles No. 32. It’s absolutely beautiful! It’s red in colour with a cute heart base to it. The total length of the toy is just over 8 inches and the insertable length is just less than 6 inches. I suppose you could insert some of the heart as well but it’s quite wide. The body of the toy has a slight curve to it. The first bulge to the toy tapers to a rounded point.



There are 5 bulges to the toy and the heart shaped base. The first bulge has a length of 1 ¼ inches and a circumference of 3 3/8 of an inch. The second bulge has a length of 1 inch and a circumference of 4 inches. The third bulge is 7/8 of an inch in length with a circumference of 4 ¼ inches. The fourth bulge has a length of 1 inch and the circumference is 4 ½ inches. The fifth bulge measures 1 ¾ inches in length and has a circumference of 4 1/8 inches. The heart measures 2 ¼ inches in length and has a width of 2 ¼ inches at its widest.

Icicles No. 32 can be used for anal or vaginal penetration. The heart base works nicely as a handle. The toy can be used with oil, silicone, or water based lubricants. The glass doesn’t absorb any of the lubricants like other materials can so very little lubricant goes a long way. You’ll want to try and avoid getting lubricant on the heart though if you’re using it as a handle because it can get really slippery. Being made of glass, the toy should not be used for hard thrusting to avoid hurting yourself.

Icicles No. 32 is perfect for temperature play. Actually, this is the number one reason why I love glass toys so much. You can put the toy in a bowl of warm or cold water before play and it retains the temperature nicely. I prefer the cooler sensations but the warm is nice as well. Regardless of which temperature you use, you should always test the temperature on another area of your body before using the toy. I typically check the temperature on my inner forearm before play.

I really enjoyed using Icicles No. 32. I had used the toy vaginally. Bulges are my favourite texture on glass toys. I love the way it feels. I appreciated the curve to the toy but I actually haven’t had a G-spot orgasm before and this toy didn’t do it for me either. It did feel good though! As for recommending this toy, I probably wouldn’t recommend it to glass beginners because of the pronounced texture. I usually recommend a more slender, less textured toys to beginners like the Gold Laced G. This is because textures on glass toys are not like textures on soft toys. There is absolutely no give to the material.

It’s very simple to clean the toy. The texture doesn’t add any difficulties to the cleaning process. You can clean the toy with soap and water, toy wipes, or a toy cleaning spray. You can also sterilize the toy by wiping it down with a bleach/water solution, rubbing alcohol, boiling it, or putting it into the top rack of your dishwasher.

As I mentioned, I enjoyed using this toy. I had a great experience with it; it’s beautiful, its’ bulged, and it’s a great price. The Icicles No. 32 is my new go-to glass piece. I would have liked it if the toy came with a storage pouch but that’s really the only “con” that I can find. Luckily, I have one of the Don Wands storage pouches (in size medium) and it fits perfectly inside of it.
