Beautiful Introduction to Glass Toys

I found this to be a fantastic introduction to glass toys. It's stimulating enough that it would be a good addition to even the largest of collections. I found myself wishing that it were slightly more curved, but even without being 100% perfect, it was still able to get the job done, and I'm glad I own it.

Use

I had never used a glass toy before receiving the Nubby G Wand as a gift with my most recent order, but I immediately fell in love. It's a beautiful toy - clear glass all the way with a pretty flower embedded in the base.

This toy is designed for vaginal penetration and is curved to hit the g-spot. It could also be used anally (it has two bulbous knobs at the end, though it is worth mentioning that there is no actual base), but I have not tried that.

I did quickly discover that it's best to not thrust too roughly with a glass toy, and I unfortunately experienced some mild cervical bruising after my first time using it, but I've been gentler in the times since and have not noticed any pain afterwards.

Material / Texture

The Nubby G Wand is made entirely of glass, and is thus very hard and smooth. I liked that it could be warmed up or cooled down to change the experience - I placed it under cold or hot running water to change the temperature, since freezing or microwaving it could lead to an increased risk of cracking.

The shaft is 4" long and covered in small bumps (five in each row, six rows in all) placed asymmetrically. I expected the bumps to be distracting, but they're quite pleasurable and feel like a massage.

Design / Shape / Size

The Nubby G Wand is right around 7" long and slightly curved. The head is shaped like the the head of a penis, and the two knobs at the bottom are only a little smaller around (you could probably use it upside down, though I haven't tried this). I liked the length, but I wish that it were slightly bigger around (or at least have a larger head). It's under 1.5" in diameter and would be suitable for most beginners. The shaft has a slight curve to it to allow the head to better hit the g-spot, but my personal preference would have been for it to be slightly more curved, as I found that I had to do some uncomfortable angling to get it to hit my g-spot (note that may be an issue with my anatomy).

I have the clear/pink version, but you can really only see the pink in the bumps when you hold it up to the light. Otherwise, it looks clear. It is a lovely toy - one of the prettiest I own - but it's not very discreet. You can definitely tell what it is when you see it! It comes with a small, velvet bag for storage, so it is easy to hide.

Performance

I really enjoyed using the Nubby G Wand. I loved that it could be cooled down or heated up. That was the main reason I wanted a glass toy, and I was not at all disappointed!

If I were redesigning it for my preferences, I would make it a little thicker and have a slightly larger head, but if you like smaller toys or are a beginner, this would make a great choice. It's small without being minuscule, and it is not large enough around to be intimidating.

I really enjoyed the bumps on it. They felt great, and it was more stimulating than if it had just had a completely smooth shaft.

Care and Maintenance

Since the Nubby G Wand is made of glass, it is very easy to clean (you can even use a bleach solution), can be 100% disinfected, and can be used with any type of lube. I store it in the velvet drawstring bag it came in. A glass toy should obviously not be handled too roughly or thrown about since it is breakable, but the glass is designed to not shatter into small pieces. So as long as you're moderately careful with it, you should be okay.
Follow-up commentary
I'm glad I own this because I have always been interested in trying out a glass toy. However, the lack of the curve is frustrating and I don't find myself using it very frequently. I've usually ended up with mild bruising every time I've used it because I always thrust it to hard, but that's an issue with any glass toy, so I can't really blame it on this specific one.
