Bella Ella

If you are a beginner who is seeking to locate and learn how to best stimulate your g-spot, Ella is the one for you. If you and your g-spot are already familiar, this toy will bring you even closer together. The Ella's elegant and supremely functional design is the very last word in g-spot stimulation. There is none better.

Use

This beautifully shaped dildo is best used to stimulate the g-spot. Its dual ends provide two different types of stimulation. While not suitable to anal insertion due to its lack of a flared base, the Ella is ideal for vaginal penetration. The flat, broad g-spot curve enables firm, pinpoint stimulation, while the thicker, swollen handle end can be used to provide a more filling sensation and lovely, subtle, overall pressure to the g-spot. The slight flexibility of the toy makes it very forgiving and safe for vigorous thrusting, which is the type that many women prefer to achieve g-spot orgasm.

This item can be used in just about any situation - alone or with a partner, in bed or in the bathtub.

Material / Texture

Ella is made of pure medical-grade silicone. The silicone has a light, pleasant odor, which, for me, is now associated with high quality toys and is an excellent smell. It is definitely not overbearing and can only be detected if you place the Ella right up to your nose. It does not have a discernible taste, but has a wonderfully smooth, seamless, velvety texture to it. It feels warm and gentle, with a firm build and not much give. This texture is suitable for anyone, from beginners to more advanced users.

The greatest thing about silicone is that it is fully sterilizable, making it extremely safe, and very easy to care for. More on that in the Care and Maintenance section.

Design / Shape / Size

Ella's design is downright lovely. At 7", with 5" of insertable length, and 1 1/4" wide, its curves are crafted to hone in on your g-spot and they certainly do. The broad, flat head can be used for more overall stimulation of the g-spot or, if you angle the toy slightly, the point of the flattened head can drive against the just the right places, making for even better pinpoint pressure, which is my personal favorite. I also love using the "handle" end of the toy, which is slightly thicker and has a lovely swell to it, which applies more general pressure to the g-spot.

A common complaint about Ella is that she is too slender. I typically love thick toys, but with Ella I think the delicateness of its build makes it better suited to locating and stimulating the g-spot. You have excellent maneuverability that you simply could not achieve with a girthier toy. I would not say that the Ella is necessarily discreet, but its fairly reasonable size makes it an acceptable travel companion. The size and shape also make it compatible with many different body types.

Performance

Prior to purchasing the Ella, I had never had a g-spot orgasm. I could find my g-spot, with some effort, but I could never keep up the stimulation long enough to let my orgasm build. The Ella is lightweight and a breeze to use, giving me the opportunity to improve my endurance and finally reach my release. I think this toy is absolutely flawless, honestly. I like to use the thicker end initially, as a sort of warm-up and a tease, before using the g-spot end to bring myself off. I don't have words to describe how perfect this toy is. I would recommend this toy to...well...anyone with a vagina.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is made of pure silicone, one of the safest materials available. There are many options for keeping Ella clean. It can be washed with warm water and antibacterial soap, a 10% bleach solution, toy wipes or toy cleaner, tossed on the top rack of the dish washer with no soap, or even boiled for three minutes to fully sterilize it. Make note, there are small letters printed into the sides of the toy which spell out LELO. Unfortunately, the indented letters tend to collect bodily fluids, so be sure to pay special attention to them when wiping down or rinsing your Ella.

Storing Ella is especially easy as you use either the tasteful box that the toy is packaged in or the provided silky drawstring bag. I use both. I emptied the box of the shaped shell that Ella came cushioned in and now use it to store the Ella and my other favorite toys, along with a small bottle of water-based lubricant. Speaking of, be careful to only use water-based lube with silicone toys. Silicone- and oil-based lubes can damage the material. Similarly, do not let your silicone toys come into contact with one another as they may react and cause damage.

Packaging

This elegant toy comes in an equally elegant, sturdy black box, nestled in a shell, and with a satin drawstring bag. It can definitely be used as a gift of a storage box. Inside the box is also a warranty and a small pamphlet.
Follow-up commentary
This toy looks as brand spankin' new today as it did when I first got it. If you take care of this toy, I truly believe it will last forever. On the other hand...It has fallen slightly out of my favor as I prefer clitoral stimulation for most of my solo exploits. However, it is still my go-to toy for pinpoint g-spot stimulation. It worked like a charm the first time I tried it and the experience is still incredibly awesome. I always choose this toy to hand off to my male partners because it's practically impossible to do it wrong ;) I love it and so do they!

LOL, Cherrylane! I love the idea of white toys, but mine always end up stained and dirty somehow! I have a white iTap vibrator that is all purple speckled now...No idea how it happened. It was just sitting in the drawer! I'd recommend the black, just to be on the safe side!

  • ella vs. others
    • I want to get ella as my first she doesn't seem as menacing as the others made of glass or metal but are those materials better sensation wise?
    • It comes down to personal preference, really. You're not going to know if glass or metal feels better to you until you try.

A couple things to keep in mind, though: glass and metal have absolutely no give, so they tend to feel bigger than silicone toys of the same size. They're also rather heavy in most cases, and so you need to be a bit more careful when you use them. Being too rough can result in internal bruising. They're very slick and smooth, though, unlike silicone which typically has some drag to it.

The Ella is pretty rigid for a silicone toy, but it's very light and easy to use. It's great if you're new to dildos. :)

  • How Does Lelo Ella compare to Gigi?
    • I know that Ella doesn't vibrate, but are there many other differences? I am wondering whether the Ella might be a better shape or size for g-spot stimulation
    • i'm wondering this too. i bought gigi and was disappointed but ella seems even better should I or shouldn't I?

  • Would the Ella work well for a beginner?
    • I'm thinking of getting my bestfriend this for Christmas but she is new to toys. Would this be a good toy to give a newbie? I have not tried it myself so I'm not sure how easy it is to master.
    • I have the similarly shaped Gigi and found nothing but frustration when trying to thrust with it.
    • i think it would be a good option for a beginner.

  • I need help the Ella curve is doing me in.
    • I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have read every review and some twice. I can not figure this girl out. I want to write a review but, how can I write a review on something I do not get. Any ideas would be wonderful. Please help me enjoy this beautiful toy.
    • What do you not get about it? Not every toy works for every woman. Does it hurt to use? Maybe your vagina is too small for it yet or maybe you just need some lube. Do you not feel anything? Again, nothing is for everyone. Try sqeezing the toy by doing kegels when you use it. Some women say that makes things feel better. Or maybe try tilting it up towards your g-spot. That works for me with other toys.

I haven't used it yet. Just recently purchased a white Ella. And I can't wait! We've got the same name! :D
    • If you don't get it you can still write your review from that perspective. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one who had that experience with it. I have the Ella and she's nice but she's not fireworks for me and that's ok. We all have different experiences with toys and that is what makes these reviews so valuable.

  • Dildo vs. Vibrator
    • I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!
    • Quote: I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!
What I mean by this I think is, is it easier with one than the other, or maybe does it require a different mind set or even is one better with partner play vs. solo? I don't know, LOL, just curious.
    • When we started with toys it was all about clit vibes for 'effective' reliable orgasms. But as we got into g-spot and a-spot stimulation, dildos have advantages over vibes because pressure is more important than vibes.

Now we almost always have some of both going on. A dildo for internal and a clit vibe for external - although she occasionally likes two vibes.

The only truism I've found is that what she wants/needs is different almost every time. I use to think 'this worked last time - so lets do it again' - but now I think 'we did that last time - what can I do to mix things up'.

That's why we have dozens of toys - both vibes and dildos.

  • Ella for beginners
    • Hey! I was just wondering if Ella would be something an absolute beginner could use, someone who's never gone looking for her g-spot before. She seems awfully tempting, but I wonder if I it's too advanced a toy for me?

Ella is perfect for beginners. I had tried several other G-spot toys before Ella. Ella was the first one that worked for me. Several people have had their first successes with Ella.

  • Ella and Gigi
    • I've had both the Ella and the Gigi sitting in my shopping cart for days now. I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?

They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one!

I just bought the Ella and have not tried it yet, but everyone seems to love it. I have had the GiGi for a couple of months and rarely use it, mainly because the control thing is located in the worst possible spot, and I invariably hit it and make the settings change! Argh! I also had no luck with it for g-spot stimulation, and the only times I get it out it is for clit work.

Even though I wasn't crazy about GiGi, it seems to do the job for a lot of people, so it might work for you. In fact, I bought it based on all the wonderful reviews. I've come to the conclusion that there is no one toy that will do the trick for everyone. Everyone is VERY different in their tastes and what they need.
    • I agree that no toy is good for everyone. I can not get a rabbit vibe that actually works for me by stimulating my clit and vag at the same time. Perhaps its operator error.
Anyway, I love the Gigi. I solved the control issue for me anyway by wiping the lube off the control and my fingers...success. The effectiveness of the Gigi is the vibe plus the design. I don't have the Ella, which is not a vibe but I see it as similar to many of the g spot dils available.
