The Allegro is a steal for $35.99. A complete steal. It performs just as well or better than higher priced glass toys. The Allegro is 7.5 inches long and anywhere from 1.25 to 1.4 inches in diameter (depending on whether you measure on a bulge or not). It's made of glass, which means you can use it for temperature play (by heating it up in warm water or cooling it down in cool water). Glass is totally non-porous, so it can be shared if sterilized in between users. You can use any kind of lube you want with the Allegro.

The standout feature of this toy is the texture. Not only does the shaft diameter vary (there are three distinct bulges), but there are narrow ridges covering the toy, with very little space in between. The ridges run diagonally down the entire length of the toy. These ridges feel fantastic. You can feel them even better on the bulges. The best part about them is that you can use this toy for fast thrusting: there are a lot of ridges, but they aren't extremely pronounced like the texture on other glass toys. Even with the ridges, you don't need a lot of lube to insert this toy, since the Allegro is pretty slick. Even when it's lubed up, it's not hard to hold on to the Allegro, since the ridges give you some grip. The bulges even allow for some g-spot stimulation: you can push the bulged portion up against your g-spot and it feels pretty darn good. I don't recommend anal play with this toy, simply because there's no flared base.

Since the Allegro is made of glass, you can sterilize it by putting it on the top rack of the dishwasher (no soap), boiling it for three minutes, or wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution. The Allegro comes with a velvet storage bag, but it's pretty thin; there's no padding at all. You're going to want to be careful, since the bag will protect the Allegro from bumps and scratches, but it's not going to prevent damage if you drop it. If you do drop it, even in the bag, carefully inspect the toy for nicks or cracks, and if you find any, don't use the toy.

The Allegro is, to put it mildly, a highly textured toy. If you don't like texture, you're going to want to skip it. If you're not sure whether or not you like texture, this is probably not the toy to start out on. But, if you love texture like I do, buy it immediately. It's a great bargain and you won't be sorry.
