Bitten and in Awe

If you're looking for soft or subtle, the Vamp isn't it. But if you want intense sensations without the going to intimidating textures or uncomfortable sizes, this could be for you. It's especially great for people who are ready to explore high-quality dildos who had been using only smooth, basic ones up to this point.

It's an average and comfortable size but is made of high quality silicone and is harness compatible. This simple dildo won't disappoint!

Use

This dildo was designed for vaginal penetration though the flared based makes it safe for anal use as well. I would just recommend it only for advanced or knowledgeable anal users because it's not very soft and the ridge at the head can be intense. This dildo is also good for oral because the silicone holds onto no weird smells or tastes whatsoever. But it will pick up hair and lint so wash thoroughly before and after use, especially if you don't keep it in a bag.

The Vamp's flared base makes it perfect for strap on play and stayed perfectly stable the entire session with my partner and me. It's not floppy at all and is easy to manipulate. But I find it's much too difficult to use solo because there's no easy way to hold onto it.

Material / Texture

The material is high-grade silicone which means it's non-porous and completely body safe. What's wonderful about the Vamp, and all Tantus silicone toys, is that being non-porous prevents harsh smells or tastes from being absorbed so you don't have to wrap it in a condom for use.

The Vamp is smooth with slight vein-texture. The veins are very subtle and almost not noticable at all when in use. One texture for interested parties to think about is the ridge near the head of the dildo. It's a fairly pronounced ridge and since this material has practically no give or squishy-ness to it, it feels pretty intense. So there is a chance it could be uncomfortable for thrusting by catching the pubic bone or anal sphincter. Just be careful and aware of your body when using this, or any, toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The silicone is rather rigid and definitely not squishy like jelly or rubber. Compared to other dildos I've reviewed, it's slightly softer than the Feeldoe but definitely firmer than the Perk. This may have a semi-realistic appearance but the material is much firmer than more realistic rubber dildos.

Though there is no G-spot curve, I found that the ridge was positioned almost perfectly to lightly massage that area. But it depends on the individual whether or not that will work for them. It's not direct or strong stimulation but a steady rubbing.

Don't be fooled by the fact that this dildo is an average 1.5 inches in diameter and about 6.25 inches insertable length. Between the firmness of the material and the pronounced ridge, it was a very intense and filling dildo. The sensations were wild for me, especially after using the Perk just the day before.

Performance

I really enjoyed this dildo. Rather than just being large to try and create intense and powerful sensations, it remains within the average size range of dildos and instead took advantage of the firm silicone and the pronounced ridge. This dildo can be easily overlooked as just another semi-realistic silicone dildo but it was anything but that!

It worked perfectly for me since it never stretched me too much and never hit my cervix and still managed to have me squirming.

Care and Maintenance

The Vamp is super easy to care for because it's a high quality silicone toy and Tantus is excellent at providing toys that can last forever. You can wash it with warm water and soap, a 10% bleach solution, or even stick in the top rack of a dish washer. I just put it on the sink after use to wash it by hand when I go wash the lube off or get in the shower the next day. It's non-porous so you don't have to worry about it being hard to sterilize and it won't hold onto funky smells.

But since it is a silicone toy, only use water-based lube on this toy. It's one of the few things that could degrade this toy.

And when it's nice and dry, you can put it back in it's box or in a drawer or in a plastic bag. Whatever floats your boat. Just make sure to clean it again before use if you're not going to secure it away from clothes or leave it out in the open. Silicone has a habit of picking up hair and lint.

Packaging

The packaging was simple but elegant, the usual for Tantus toys, and great for storage if you don't have a lot of options. I actually cleaned the toy after opening it up, cleaned the plastic mold, and put it right back in to be ready for use when my partner got home.

It can definitely be used for gifting but know that it is clear and the entire toy shows so it's not discreet. But if it's for your partner or a close friend who is at the same level of kink as you are, a pretty bow is all you'll need.

Oh Vamp, you still stir me up! Even after all this time, the Vamp dildo has yet to become 'old hat' and the texture has retained its shock value. The material is still in excellent shape because silicone has the amazing ability to last for nearly forever if taken care of properly. And it has not suffered absolutely any staining or distortion when waiting to be played with in my careful storage box. Yes, I still love it!
