Blossom G - dildo by SSA Glass - review by meitman

The Blossom G is a great toy for someone looking to experience glass in their bedroom play. This is a toy ideal for thrusting (as there is no motor for vibrations) either vaginally or anally. It is easy to use this toy anally either by yourself or with a partner, however, my wife found the angle of the toy did not work well vaginally for solo play. She could use it, but it wasn't hitting her g-spot like I was able to when I used it on her. Do be careful when thrusting the toy that it does not go in too deep as glass is very unforgiving and could cause discomfort or bruising. While this toy can be used for anal play, caution is recommended. The toy does feel bigger due to it being hard glass, but the width of the ends may not be enough to keep this toy from being sucked inside the anus. If you have little experience with it or don't yet know your limits with anal toys you may be better off using toys with a larger flared base until you have a better feel for what you can handle. A trip to the emergency room is not the way you want to show off your new glass toy!

It is great for temperature play. Just stick it in the fridge, run it under cold water, or put it in a bowl of ice water to add a chill to your fun. Warm it under warm water to heat up your play. I would advise against putting this toy directly in the freezer or using boiling or hot water directly before play as you wouldn't want extreme temperatures touching your skin, especially for intimate areas!

Because this toy is made of hard non-porous glass it is safe for any and all types of lubes. If they are safe for your body, they are good to go. This toy is very smooth and will become very slippery (a good thing) with just a little lube or moisture added, but it can be hard to hang on to at times.

The Blossom G is made out of Pyrex glass. Pyrex glass is smooth, non-porous, odorless, and listed as one of the safest materials for toys (a 10 on the 1-10 scale). Pyrex is a brand name for borosilicate glass. The great thing about borosilicate glass is that in the devastating occurrence that this toy does break, it will mostly break into larger chunks of glass and not little shards as much. The Blossom G is a beautifully crafted toy. There are two ends. The one end I would describe as a teardrop shape with a blue and yellow flower inside it.

The other end is more of a round circle with a yellow and orange flower inside.

Running around the length of the shaft is a candy cane stripe that seems to be painted inside the glass somehow as I can't scratch it off the outside. Although this toy isn't really penis shaped, it is fairly obvious what its intended purpose is. It's pretty to look at but you probably won't be able to pass it off as a piece of art.

If you look at the product page you will see that it shows 6 bumps centered between both ends of the toy. The toy I received only has 5 and they are located closest to the teardrop side of the toy and end around the middle of the shaft.

In my opinion, this does not matter much, but it is worth noting that your toy may vary from the product page.

The Blossom I received measures 8 inches in length making it a little shorter than the product page listing. It does measure 1 3/8 inches in diameter and 4 1/2 inches in circumference making it right on with the product page listing. I don't have a scale to measure the weight, but I would guess it's close to 11 ounces. It has a slight weight to it, but not enough that I think you would get worn out from using it.

While this toy won't fulfill size queens, it is well suited for new or average users and especially for those users who are new to glass. Glass toys can seem slightly larger than a similar sized toy in another material due to its unyielding nature.

It probably would work better for solo vaginal play if it was a little longer, but it is long enough for anal play or play with a partner. While the unforgiving nature of glass is something that you will probably eventually love, it can be a little difficult for users who aren't used to it, especially if you want to use it anally. Other than those minor details, this glass toy worked flawlessly.

Borosilicate glass is extremely easy to take care of. You can boil it, bleach it, clean it with a toy cleaner, throw it in the dishwasher, or use good old fashioned soap and water (no elbow grease required). It is still recommended to use a condom on this toy if it will be going from anal to vaginal use in the same session or if sharing with someone else, but otherwise it's worry-free fun (assuming you clean it before or after use of course). I assume you already know, but as a precaution, I would wait before cooling this toy down if you just sterilized it by boiling it or running it through the dishwasher. Going from one temperature extreme to another could result in cracking, breakage, or worse.

Packaging for the Blossom G is simple yet effective. There were no instructions, manufacturer's logo, or box of any kind (except for the cardboard box Eden Fantasys ships all the toys together in). It comes well wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed inside a red toy pouch.

The pouch is not padded in any way and will not cushion the toy from a fall, but it will keep the toy from getting scratched or clanking against other glass toys in your toy storage location. The pouch will work just fine if your floors tend to be the softer variety, but if you're concerned about dropping the toy often or on hard surfaces you may want to invest in a toy pouch with more padding.

This was my wife and I's first turn with a glass toy. I've heard people on this site rave about them, so when this beauty went on sale, I couldn't refuse. While it did everything it should do, it just didn't send my wife into orbit. It's not the toy's fault. She just prefers vibrations over thrusting. I, on the other hand, thoroughly loved using this toy for prostate play. I felt every one of the little bumps on the shaft of this toy, but my wife was not able to feel them vaginally. While it's not as thick as the vibrator she uses shown here, it did reach deeper inside her than the Bendi.

Overall, we did enjoy playing with a glass toy and I'm guessing we'll continue to use it occasionally for something different as we find better ways to use it for our own personal desires. I would definitely recommend this toy to anyone who is new to glass toys and wants to see what they are all about. You get all the awesome benefits of Pyrex glass at a price that is simply unbelievable. This is a great toy to see if glass is your thing before you spend a lot of money on a higher end glass toy (although a higher end toy is not necessarily needed over this one).
