The Blue Swirl was my first glass toy. It was a bit of a mistake to start with this one. For those who have never experienced the unyielding nature of glass, it is best to start with something non-textured. I was also not used to penetration at the time and found the head to be difficult.

For intermediate users, this could be great. My biggest complaint is that it is too straight. With glass, curves add more excitement and pleasure, as well as better comfort. I felt as though I was being prodded in the cervix whenever I used this. I am also one who prefers nubs to ribs. I wasn't able to derive much feeling or versatility from this toy based on shape and texture.

Temperature play is another story. Glass is excellent for this. It can be put into the freezer or the microwave without fear of destroying the toy. This also makes it easy to fully sanitize.

Glass is known for its ease with cleaning. It is body safe and non-porous. However, this toy was a little challenging in that area. The ribbing is very close together and that makes it easy to trap fluids. When cleaning, you need to be sure to get between each groove, otherwise you will end up with crusty build up. Not cool!

Glass is great with a number of different types of lube. Sometimes it isn't even necessary, as glass is a naturally slick surface and body fluids can suffice.

I think this was not the smartest toy to use when starting to experiment with glass. I also don't think it would be anything to write home about for experienced glass connoisseurs. There are better glass dildos out there if you take the time to look around and make a careful decision.
