Icicles No. 24 - dildo discontinued by Pipedream - review by AU

I bought this item because I must collect all the cephalopod themed toys here. If you don't like that sort of thing, I still recommend and suggest imagining it as something more abstract. While it has lacking aspects, it will forever be one of my favorite toys, I'm sure. So please read on and find out why this toy is so great.

Firstly, this toy is beautiful. I think I have spent almost as much time admiring it as I have using it. It is icy pink glass candy for the eyes.

It is my first glass toy. If the idea of playing with glass frightens you, don't worry! Just inspect the toy for damage and flaws, which I do with any toy, and if something doesn't look safe, avoid! As it is Pyrex, I understand that instead of shattering into terrible little parts, it will break into larger chunks. You don't want that to happen though, so I cannot recommend this for play in places with hard floors, only taking it there for cleaning. Like the Pyrex in your kitchen, this is easy to care for. You can boil, use soap and water, a sex toy cleaner, or even a dishwasher to clean. (I might if mine did a better job!) As the toy is just for me, I choose soap and water and use a scrubby brush to clean the harder to reach places. Its very hygienic, however I'd still recommend using a condom on it if you are going to share.

The shape is pretty neat. It isn't very long and I don't think it would make most cervixes uncomfortable. The width doesn't do much for me while inserting. I did like how the width was not perfectly round, but more oval. The length has a nice slight curve which may reach some G-spots when positioned right. The end curls into a cool little handle, which is very functional unless you have too much lube, but with this toy you may not desire any. I like lube, so it gets slippery!

Under the "handle" of my Icicle, there are a few flattened bumps that are great for standing the toy up for display. I imagine that these toys may have slight variations, so I'm not sure if this is a feature on all of them. If you have people with a little imagination over, they will guess the purpose of this toy. As strange as it looks, it is still a bit phallic.

The texture on this icicle is an important detail. On the top, there are two crazy rows of bumps that follow the curl to the underside. I love the idea and look of texture, but I was sad that while inside, the texture was a little too much for me. It just felt weird. It gave a soft, scrubby sensation that made weird noises! More on the very pleasant part of the texture later. The underbelly has subtle lines that went mostly unnoticed.

I felt that insertion is only good for temperature play. Leaving it out in a cool house is enough to cool it down pleasantly for my partner and I. A little change of temperature goes a long way, so take care!

Now, here is the fun, the part that makes this toy shine the most! Look at the photos of this dildo. There is a sort of canal that runs between the two rows of bumps on the top of the toy. That narrow space is what I love so very much. Along that canal, send forth your Little Man in a Boat (sorry), your clitoris! Seriously, this thing is perfect for it. The two rows of bumps massage both sides of the clit very nicely, especially with a little lube. For someone like me who loves clitoral play but can feel numb with vibrations, this was great! Maybe a little too great, your exciting voyage on it may not last long. I wish I could write more about this usage. So I'll say one brief thing that packs in a lot of meaning: mindblowing!

Because of the handle this Icicle can be used anally, but I didn't like it there. This is because of the hardness and texture, so I really do not recommend this.

While I have seen this recommended for body massage, it hasn't served us well there yet.

I hate giving Icicles No. 24 an imperfect score as it has the potential to make hopes and dreams come true, but because it may not be a multipurpose toy, I cannot. I do highly recommend this toy for temperature play lovers and especially for ladies who really love clitoral stimulation.

The Icicle No. 24 is still incredible. I tried in my original review to express how much with some detail, but it was difficult. Sorry if my sense of humor was a little weird! This toy has consistently proven itself to be almost too good. I still do not like it for any type of insertion, but using that magic space between the top bumps has been the thing I do to every time. During partner play, it is unfortunate that it seems to get put aside fairly early, but if it is not put aside quickly, then I am done too quickly. No, it is not great for hours of entertainment, but it is good at what it does. I regret that I keep it stored away for various reasons as it is so pretty. But if you feel safe and comfortable displaying it, you may want to! I hope I have managed to help encourage someone to try this and that they have enjoyed it.
