I ordered the Wonder vibe 4 hoping it would be a good 'surrogate penis', taking the place of my long-distance boyfriend's. While it clearly does not match his member in color, and while by boyfriend does not vibrate, the length and girth of this toy is pretty spot on. The insertable length is about 6 inches, and the girth at the shaft is roughly 5 inches.

The size of this toy was not an issue for me, but the lack of rigidity was. It isn't a toy that is going to flop over when you hold it up straight, but it is very easily bent. This made thrusting an issue. After a bit of adjusting my technique, I was able to enjoy the sensations that ribbed 'veins' provided. The ridges are very pronounced, and can be felt internally as well as upon exiting the vagina.

For running on 2 AAA batteries, it has rather strong, extremely high pitched and buzzy vibrations. Vibration intensity is controlled by a turn-dial base, increasing in power as the base is turned. The vibrations are felt throughout the entire toy, though they are particularly strong in the head. While the buzzy vibrations did not feel very good internally, when I used the head of the toy to stimulate my outer lips and clit, it proved to be very pleasurable.

Another issue I had with this toy was the base. It was too small to hold on to comfortably while thrusting. I had to hold on to the widest part of the bottom of the toy, which made my hand go numb from the vibrations, and shortened the length I could insert. The small base also makes this toy unsafe to use anally, which was a disappointment, as I thought the ridges would have felt wonderful while thrusting into the anus.

Overall, the Wonder vibe 4 is an average vibrating dildo, and an above average clitoral vibrator.
