Byours, Be mine!I liked using the Byours 12 just because it is different. It works as well as it was intended and actually got me off pretty well and that is not an easy thing some days. I am glad it is part of my collection and it's on the top of my fave toys!
The only downsides I found were the smell and the base. There is a strong rubber odor to it that no matter how much I have washed it, has not weakened at all. I don't know if it's just the particular one I have, or if they are all like that, but it almost takes away from the excitement of using it. The other problem I have is with the twist dial base. It is fairly loose, so if you are not careful when using it, you can bump it and turn it off, or down, which means you have to stop what you are doing and readjust it which is a real pain!
It runs on 2 AA batteries and is controlled on the bottom of the shaft by the twist dial base. I think the placement could have been better, or even had better designed controls. It is waterproof, so you can use it in the shower and/or the tub. I have tried both and it will indeed work for both. It is made from phthalate-free PVC which does not require very much maintenance and has a fairly long lifespan. It should be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap, or a good sex toy cleaner. I would suggest letting it air dry because it can pick up towel lint very easily. As a good practice with any toy, always remove the batteries between uses, wash before and after each use, and ALWAYS use a condom if you are going to share your toys with anyone else. It is silicone-based and water-based lube compatible, so whatever your fave is, it will work! I store mine in the original package it came in to keep it clean and lint free. It can pick lint up pretty easily, so maybe you should store it in a silk pouch, or storage bag.
