This dildo is made of wood, but you definitely don't need to worry about splinters. It's highly polished and sealed with a Nobessence's body safe varnish called Lubrosity. It's compatible with any lubricant, and with something this size, you're probably going to want some lube. You don't get a choice of type of wood, but all are beautiful. The one I got called Padauk. It's a pretty dark reddish color. Since every piece is made by hand, and is unique, dimensions may vary slightly. Here's how my piece measured up:

Total length: 8.75 inches
Diameter of large end: about 1.75 inches at its widest point
Diameter of small end: about 1.25 inches at the ball end, which quickly narrows down to 0.75 inches.

It's satisfyingly large, but not too large. For me personally, since it's so big, it's not an every-day go-to toy. It's more the one I pull out when I'm in the mood for a little something extra.

While the wood is very beautiful, I'm not totally crazy about the finish this toy has. It's not quite as silky smooth as my dildo by Hardwood Dildos, one of my all time favorites. The Seduction has a glossier finish, which doesn't feel quite as nice to me. It also has a definite wood grain which can be felt with a fingernail and seen with the eye, though I can't feel it in use. This is only a problem because I suspect the tiny grooves in the wood can trap bacteria. Since I'm not sharing or using anally, I'm not too worried about it, but others might be. It's more of an aesthetic concern for me. Still, this is a quibble, and I only notice it because I'm such a fan of my Hardwood Dildos toy.
