Captain Amazing
We love the Small Silk. It's perfect for our needs and I'd recommend it to anybody either new to anal or just wanting to play around a bit.Published: August 17, 2011

CLEO SAYS: This thing has been a remarkable surprise. I bought it for my husband (the last dildo we bought was enormous, and alas his poor backside suffered for it). This one has been absolutely perfect.
The packaging: We threw out the cardboard inserts a while ago, sadly, so I can't tell you about them. However, the plastic outer packaging has been a perfect storage space. Just slip it under the bed or dresser or wherever is convenient for you and rest assured that it will be safe. The dildo is very obviously a dildo, though, so while it may be safe, if it is found it will be recognized.
The dildo: Ours is purple! It also fits nicely in our harness, which is a plus. It's nonporous silicone. Put it in the top rack of the dishwasher, boil it, or bleach it and all will be well and sterile. Use only water-based lubes; silicone will not get along well with more silicone, and don't store it next to anything silicone either. It's also slightly soft, just enough to give it a bit of give upon insertion, which we like. There's an oh-so-slight ribbing as well. I don't think it affects the experience any, but if you look at it you can see. (Maybe I spent too much time staring at the dildo?) The marbling effect in the colors is just gorgeous, too.
The Experience: I didn't care for it much, honestly, but it punches my husband's buttons in all the right places without fail. He's taken to calling it "Captain Amazing." Its size makes it good for beginners and those of us who don't like to be anally assaulted all that often. He'd like to get the next size up.
All in all, an excellent buy. If you're nervous about anal play, definitely give this puppy a good once-over.
HUBBY SAYS: Nothing else really to note, except that I have a very, very sensitive backside for reasons that shall remain unsaid in the interests of good taste, and where some toys we've tried have been less than forgiving (especially on entry), this one was granted instant and easy admittance! So I reiterate: excellent toy for anyone nervous about their... back door, I suppose. Are euphemisms necessary on a sex toy site?

Has anybody tried the silk with a Theo? I'm concerned about whether or not the base will fit in the "ring" on the harness.

I've used this toy on a couple of anal beginners...it's very good because it's small and very smooth. You should not look for something bigger, she can only move up to a larger toy once she learns to relax the muscles with a smaller one. Good luck! -
You can always go smaller, with beads, etc. DON'T go bigger, especially if she's apprehensive about it! Start with a finger or two before you buy a toy. If she's not ok with that, then it is silly to waste your money.
And PLEASE remember, Lube is your friend. Use lots of it. When you think you have enough, use some more! Thicker stuff, like Maximus, is really good in these situations.
