Close but no Cigar
If you need something to get you started this is great if you're a little more experienced don't waste your timePublished: July 10, 2011
Pros:
Is small enough to get you started
Cons:
Its short length allows it to slip out with a bit of movement
The small silk is a great first step if you are new to the toy scene and do not really want to try some thing larger. I had no experience with strap on toys and in all honesty was scared to try it but my girlfriend seemed rather interested and the small silk was just small enough not to be intimidating.
All in all the small silk was a pretty decent start but not one I think I will stick with for long (or at all after the first attempt). While I was pleased with the lack of pain I was rather disappointed with the lack of "punch" so to speak (I was pretty far from satisfied). Of course I loved that it was easy to clean (you gotta love dish washer safe) and the fact that the silicone doesn't have a strong smell was a wonderful plus but because of the short length the small silk has a bit of a tendency to slip out with little to no movement and a few times almost went places it really should NOT. The inconvenience and awkward interruption of having to readjust was pretty close to killing the mood.
To wrap it up the small silk is the perfect toy to break the ice but commitment is no where in its near future. It is only worth the investment if you (like I was) are rather iffy on the introduction to some thing new (and large), if not it is best to just pass up and go for some thing else (probably some thing bigger) or prepare for a good bit of disappointment. Honestly I gave up on trying to use the small silk, scrubbed the hell out of the thing, and gave it to my dog as a chew toy.

Has anybody tried the silk with a Theo? I'm concerned about whether or not the base will fit in the "ring" on the harness.

Small silk as a beginner anal toy

KvalHello! I am looking for advice. I'm introducing my wife to anal, but she is a little uncomfortable and concerned about pain. Will Small silk be ok to start practicing anal, or should I go with smth smaller/bigger? -
Hot RickQuote: Hello! I am looking for advice. I'm introducing my wife to anal, but she is a little uncomfortable and concerned about pain. Will Small silk be ok to start practicing anal, or should I go with smth smaller/bigger?Hi Kval! I think Silk is a wonderful toy for an anal novice. I've used this toy on a couple of anal beginners...it's very good because it's small and very smooth. You should not look for something bigger, she can only move up to a larger toy once she learns to relax the muscles with a smaller one. Good luck! -
You can always go smaller, with beads, etc. DON'T go bigger, especially if she's apprehensive about it! Start with a finger or two before you buy a toy. If she's not ok with that, then it is silly to waste your money.
And PLEASE remember, Lube is your friend. Use lots of it. When you think you have enough, use some more! Thicker stuff, like Maximus, is really good in these situations.

What sort of penetration were you using this for? That isn't clear from your review and would help to understand it.
What's the size? Nice first review. =]
Thx for reviewing.
