Pink indulgence glass wand - glass wand discontinued by Topco Sales - review by Serendipity

It would seem that I am always a day late and a dollar short. I had taken several months leave from writing and in playing catch up, I am discovering many of my previous purchases have been discontinued.

Such is the case with the Pink Indulgence Glass Wand by Topco. This was my first glass toy purchase and at $26.99, hardly made a dent in my wallet. It arrived in it's own matching pouch, so perfectly pretty in pink.

Upon picking it up, I was delighted with how heavy it felt in my hands. In looking at the product overview, I noticed the Pink Indulgence clocked in at one full pound! This was exciting, indeed. The other thing I noticed right away was that this glass wand was cold to the touch (it was November here, after all). I laid it across the back of my neck just for kicks, and it felt great.

Well, you guessed where I am going with this; glass toys are great for temperature play. The Pink Indulgence Glass Wand is made of cyberglass; in short, this is non-porous, medical-grade tempered glass (tempered is the process of heating to a high degree and rapidly cooling glass, making it 3-4 times stronger than regular glass). Although break resistant, always take care with your glass toys. I would recommend immersing into water that has just been boiled to heat up for hot temperature play or sitting in ice water for cold play. I would avoid extremes of sitting in rolling, boiling water, putting in the freezer or heating in the microwave just to be on the safe side. Inspect your product on a regular basis for cracks or chips and discontinue use immediately if you notice such deficiencies. Contact the manufacturer about product replacement.

This glass wand is double-ended, so no flared base. This means it is not harness compatible and some folks would advise against anal play as well. I typically try to keep my toys separate between what goes in my butt and vagina, but I think with someone else's hands on, this toy could be used in anal play. I think the tapered end would appeal here and since this is a girthy toy I would caution a novice butt player to start smaller, such as with the snake of paradise. Glass has no give whatsoever, so in any case use your fingers or a smaller toy for warm up. I would not go past halfway just to ensure control is kept of the toy at all times.

Obviously, with ass play there will be much lube involved but otherwise, glass toys do not typically require much and you can use the composition you favor; water, silicone or oil based.

The Indulgence glass wand cleans up with soap and water, toy cleaner, a run through the dishwasher (wash off possible residue), or 10% bleach solution (if you did not use a condom in anal play, this would be my favored method to clean and I would soak for up to ten minutes).

It is too bad this toy has been discontinued but there are many others to choose from in varying price ranges. For a similar size/intended use, I suggest Swirled Double-Dong. It is $59.99, which is more than double the price of the Pink Indulgence Glass Wand but it appears the majority of the more modestly prices glass toys are currently out of stock. This would be a good time for you to do some searches on your own and set some product alerts. Maybe you'll get what you want just in time for Christmas. :)
