Dildo Rave! A Video Review

The Glo G-Spot glows in the dark AND is pure silicone. Performance-wise, it's a little bendy and pretty slim, so keep those things in mind if you need firm pressure on your g-spot or lots of girth.
Published:
Pros
Made of hygienic silicone, glow-sticks are held in place sturdily
Cons
On the slim side, glow doesn't actually add anything in orgasm power

extremely useful review
The Glo G-Spot by Ophoria is a pretty neat concept. As the name implies, it's a translucent white silicone dildo that you put glow-sticks in, making it light up. It's got a small pink plug in the bottom that keeps the glow-stick from moving around. The dildo itself is 7.25 inches long and 1.25 inches in diameter: you can see from the video that it's fairly slender. The tip is angled and the shaft is straight, running down to two wider bloops and a base. The silicone is completely smooth. Since the dildo is hollow (so you can insert the glow-sticks), it's really flexible. The flexibility decreases once you put a glow-stick in, but it's not the firmest toy in the chest. Since it's intended for g-spot stimulation, keep this in mind if you need a lot of firm pressure for effective stimulation.

The glow-sticks themselves are the selling point of this toy. You get five of them. They're your standard glow-sticks, the same width as glow necklaces and bracelets. To activate, you crack them along the entire length. Once activated, you pull out the pink plug from the base of the dildo and insert one end of the glow-stick into it. Then you can slide the glow-stick into the dildo and push the plug back into place. It makes a satisfying "pop" noise when it locks into place. The glow-sticks last for a pretty long time, about 8-10 hours, although the brightness starts to fade around 4. Since the glow-sticks last far longer than any standard masturbatory session, you're stuck with a glowing dildo you can't shut off while you're trying to fall asleep. Ophoria lets you buy replacement glow-sticks, since you can't really get a lot of uses out of each one.

As a g-spotter, the Glo G-Spot is a little mediocre. The tip is really narrow, so the pressure you apply has to be precise. And, as mentioned above, both the dildo and the glow-stick are flexible, so it's not possible to apply super-firm pressure with this toy. I would not recommend this toy for anal use, since the base is really narrow and isn't likely to keep the toy from getting lost. The novelty of getting off with a glowing toy, though, is a lot of fun. It doesn't make the toy any more effective, but there's definitely a certain visual appeal.

Silicone is one of the best materials for a sex toy: it can be completely sterilized in boiling water (you probably don't want to boil the glow-stick, though), with 10% bleach solution, or in the top rack of the dishwasher (no soap!). Since it can be sterilized, it can be shared. The Glo G-Spot comes packaged in a tasteful box with a plastic insert with compartments for both the dildo and the five glow-sticks that come with it. It's not the best box for storage, so it's a little difficult to keep track of the glow-sticks.

All in all, this toy is pretty fun. It has its shortcomings though, so keep them in mind. If you don't need firm pressure or tons of girth, there's a lot to like about this glowing toy.

Wow, a glowing dildo. I would assume that after the five included glow sticks run out you can buy more for replacement from either the company or your local dollar store?

The only purpose of a glowing dildo would be a dildo rave of course! Simple yet effective.
