Spiral and ribbed double dong - dildo by Phallix - review by Beautiful Dreamer

After reading countless reviews on how amazing glass was, I just had to try. I have to say, I'm now on the glass-loving bandwagon.

While the initial hard plastic packaging didn't impress me, this new dildo certainly did. The ribbed double dong by Phallix also comes with a very cute red satin bag trimmed with lace with an elastic closure at the top. Sadly, this bag is not lined in any way. Pyrex glass is relatively durable and this toy lives in my top drawer, so it works for me. Investing in a padded pouch would be a wise idea for anyone who takes their toys traveling or moves them frequently.

Also nice when removing it from the packaging, no smell! Always a positive. This glass toy is completely clear and when holding it up to the light you can see small air bubbles. This does not affect the toy in any way, but these bubbles occurs when the toy is hand blown. Yep, each one of these small pieces of art are made by hand. Both heads on this toy are gently tapered, much like the head of the penis. Between the two heads are not one, but two separate textures. I admired the continuity of the swirls. On the other end are what I'd call nubs, rather than ribs.

My partner and I first used this toy for teasing when he had me tied down. He had placed a bowl of very hot water and then a bowl of ice water right next to the bed. He'd alternate dipping the dong in the bowls and then tracing them over my body. The toy held the temperature very well and he use that to his advantage when he used the toy to spread massage oil on me.

This dong has a 4" circumference and is 6" in length, as glass doesn't yield at all, this was a good size choice for me. This toy internally is Amazing. A little lubricant goes a long was as this toy is very smooth. My favorite end of the toy was the nubbed end. The gentle curve pressed very well against my g-spot without being overwhelming. The spiral end was enjoyable, but not as much. It felt more like speed bumps when thrusting.

Glass is an amazing material. Besides it's great sexual uses and the fact it's phthalates free, it's actually a super cooled liquid, but we'll skip the chemistry lesson. It can be used with any lubricant. Because glass is non porous, you can sterilize it by sending it through the dish washer (top rack, no soap), wiping it down with 10% bleach solution (rinse after), or by boiling it for 3 minutes. The boron in the glass allows for the extreme temperature changes, so no worries!

This really was a great choice for a first time glass toy. The two ends allowed me to find out what I really liked. As glass can be sterilized, this toy is also nice for some light anal teasing, especially when paired with temperature changes. Just be careful as this has no flared base. This surely will not be my last glass toy!
