Use

Why yes, this is a double ended dildo expertly crafted to find and stimulate the g-spot. I had wanted Ella for so long knowing its virtues and finally I have the pleasure of calling it mine!

Ella is great for beginners who are just starting to experiment with the stimulation of the g-spot. It is also very good for those who have already found there g-spot but want a toy that will stimulate it more easily.

This toy is THE toy all women should have without exception. Whip it out when you need a quick orgasm or when you want to milk your g-spot to a squirting orgasm. It can even work as a kegel exerciser!

Material / Texture

LELO's Ella is made of body safe silicone (no phthalates, yay).

Grab your smoothest silicone toy and feel how smooth it is. Imagine if it were even smoother more velvety! I didn't know what velvety smooth was before I caressed Ella. I think most if not all of LELO's products are made with the same texture of silicone.

It doesn't smell or taste anything.

It has a matte finish. What I really love about the silicone's texture is that so far it hasn't collected lint and hairs. That may be due to the fact that I always store it in it's box though.

The silicone is very firm, which is very good for g-spot stimulation for me.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

It is fascinating how well this toy was crafted. Both ends are very functional.

The g-spot end is not too big so as to overwhelm the user, it isn't painful at all to insert or remove from the vagina. If someone else uses this toy on you it is unlikely that they will hurt your pubic bone with this toy. The toy is made so that if the g-spot end shifts over to the side you can tell it has shifted by the two ridges along the shaft.

The thin neck following the g-spot end is great also. You can work your kegel muscles by pulling the toy in with your PC's and with your hand pull the toy back out.The neck sort of makes it easier to pull the toy in for me.

The opposite end is straight and wider than the g-spot end. It feels very good also and can stimulate some ladies g-spots but it might not do it for everyone.

The Ella is a pretty average size, about half an inch longer than my hand and at its widest point along the shaft about two fingers wide. It is not for size queens.

This toy could be discreet. It doesn't look like a sexual object in the sense that it is not realistic. It doesn't look like a penis but I am pretty sure that if it fell out your purse someone would be able to deduct that it was for your pussy.

It could be good for travel if you want to bring along something that isn't too realistic and you have average size bags. I don't know that this toy would be great to carry in your purse if you are going out to the bar to then hook up with some one, etc. It might be a little big for that.

Performance

What I love best about this toy is that IT WORKS! It will never fail to find your g-spot. It is guaranteed to last because it is made of such a fabulous material. There is no need for batteries, and it is non threatening.

I haven't had a squirting orgasm with Ella used all on her own but I am working up to it. She is a girls best pal if you are training to squirt/gush/female ejaculate.

Ella is so easy to use. She has become a new favorite quite quickly as she has made stimulation of my g-spot much easier. With other toys I would tend to get cramps in my wrist since my g-spot sort of hides. But Ella is a master at getting it done.
    • Comfortable
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

Ella is very easy to clean and care for.

The number one rule is to use waterbased lubricants instead of silicone based lubricant since that can deteriorate the texture of the toy and it can remain permanently tacky, yuck.

Since Ella is made of silicone it can be boiled for 3-5 minutes, put in the top rack of a dishwasher (no soap), or washed down with a 10% bleach solution for sanitary purposes. Ella can also be washed with antibacterial spray/soap and rinse with water.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store
Follow-up commentary
I still love my Ella of course! She is a little smaller than my glass g-spot wonder but she still gets the job done wonderfully. I am still working up to squirting with the Ella alone without using any clitoral stimulation. It's hard work but it's lots of fun.

  • ella vs. others
    • I want to get ella as my first she doesn't seem as menacing as the others made of glass or metal but are those materials better sensation wise?
    • It comes down to personal preference, really. You're not going to know if glass or metal feels better to you until you try.

A couple things to keep in mind, though: glass and metal have absolutely no give, so they tend to feel bigger than silicone toys of the same size. They're also rather heavy in most cases, and so you need to be a bit more careful when you use them. Being too rough can result in internal bruising. They're very slick and smooth, though, unlike silicone which typically has some drag to it.

The Ella is pretty rigid for a silicone toy, but it's very light and easy to use. It's great if you're new to dildos. :)

I have not tried anything like that I hear alot of good things and alot of not so good things. its up to you to try and see what you prefer..

  • How Does Lelo Ella compare to Gigi?
    • I know that Ella doesn't vibrate, but are there many other differences? I am wondering whether the Ella might be a better shape or size for g-spot stimulation
    • i'm wondering this too. i bought gigi and was disappointed but ella seems even better should I or shouldn't I?

  • Would the Ella work well for a beginner?
    • I'm thinking of getting my bestfriend this for Christmas but she is new to toys. Would this be a good toy to give a newbie? I have not tried it myself so I'm not sure how easy it is to master.
    • I have the similarly shaped Gigi and found nothing but frustration when trying to thrust with it.
    • i think it would be a good option for a beginner.

  • I need help the Ella curve is doing me in.
    • I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have read every review and some twice. I can not figure this girl out. I want to write a review but, how can I write a review on something I do not get. Any ideas would be wonderful. Please help me enjoy this beautiful toy.
    • What do you not get about it? Not every toy works for every woman. Does it hurt to use? Maybe your vagina is too small for it yet or maybe you just need some lube. Do you not feel anything? Again, nothing is for everyone. Try sqeezing the toy by doing kegels when you use it. Some women say that makes things feel better. Or maybe try tilting it up towards your g-spot. That works for me with other toys.

I haven't used it yet. Just recently purchased a white Ella. And I can't wait! We've got the same name! :D
    • If you don't get it you can still write your review from that perspective. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one who had that experience with it. I have the Ella and she's nice but she's not fireworks for me and that's ok. We all have different experiences with toys and that is what makes these reviews so valuable.

  • Dildo vs. Vibrator
    • I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!
    • Quote: I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!
What I mean by this I think is, is it easier with one than the other, or maybe does it require a different mind set or even is one better with partner play vs. solo? I don't know, LOL, just curious.
    • When we started with toys it was all about clit vibes for 'effective' reliable orgasms. But as we got into g-spot and a-spot stimulation, dildos have advantages over vibes because pressure is more important than vibes.

Now we almost always have some of both going on. A dildo for internal and a clit vibe for external - although she occasionally likes two vibes.

The only truism I've found is that what she wants/needs is different almost every time. I use to think 'this worked last time - so lets do it again' - but now I think 'we did that last time - what can I do to mix things up'.

That's why we have dozens of toys - both vibes and dildos.

  • Ella for beginners
    • Hey! I was just wondering if Ella would be something an absolute beginner could use, someone who's never gone looking for her g-spot before. She seems awfully tempting, but I wonder if I it's too advanced a toy for me?

Ella is perfect for beginners. I had tried several other G-spot toys before Ella. Ella was the first one that worked for me. Several people have had their first successes with Ella.

  • Ella and Gigi
    • I've had both the Ella and the Gigi sitting in my shopping cart for days now. I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?

They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one!
    • Quote: I've had both the Ella and the Gigi sitting in my shopping cart for days now. I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?

I just bought the Ella and have not tried it yet, but everyone seems to love it. I have had the GiGi for a couple of months and rarely use it, mainly because the control thing is located in the worst possible spot, and I invariably hit it and make the settings change! Argh! I also had no luck with it for g-spot stimulation, and the only times I get it out it is for clit work.

Even though I wasn't crazy about GiGi, it seems to do the job for a lot of people, so it might work for you. In fact, I bought it based on all the wonderful reviews. I've come to the conclusion that there is no one toy that will do the trick for everyone. Everyone is VERY different in their tastes and what they need.
    • I agree that no toy is good for everyone. I can not get a rabbit vibe that actually works for me by stimulating my clit and vag at the same time. Perhaps its operator error.
Anyway, I love the Gigi. I solved the control issue for me anyway by wiping the lube off the control and my fingers...success. The effectiveness of the Gigi is the vibe plus the design. I don't have the Ella, which is not a vibe but I see it as similar to many of the g spot dils available.
