Ella is made entirely from FDA approved, body safe silicone. Eden gives it a 10/10 on the safety scale. This is truly one of the best and easiest to care for materials you will find. It is non-porous, so there's no chance of bacteria seeping into the toy. There are many ways to clean silicone, including boiling, wiping down with a antibacterial toy cleaner or very dilute bleach solution. This makes it very easy to safely share with others.

Being silicone, it is on the firmer side, but still has some give, and the neck is fairly flexible. I think that it's firmness makes it especially good for G-spot stimulation. It is incredibly soft and silky feeling, almost velvety which I love. I like to think of it as the way a rose petal feels. I generally don't need lube very often, but as this is a silicone toy you might need a little extra slickness.

I find this to be a fairly small toy, with only 5” of insertable length if using the pointier end, and only 4” or so of insertable length if you are using the broad end and is 7” long total.

Personally, I almost never used the broader end. The shape of Ella is compatible with my anatomy, and I never had any discomfort when using it. This might not be true for everyone. I also enjoy the the feeling of fullness you get, because of the contrast between the ends and point, in comparison to the middle of the toy, which is 4” in circumference. I find that it is a good toy for making you feel full, which not actually being huge.



Because of the shape and size, and lack of flared base, this toy is not suitable for anal play. There's lots of other options available for anal play, including Lelo's “Bob” (which I highly recommend!). This toy works great for me. It's not over stimulating, and delivers quick and powerful orgasms every time. It also works great with my anatomy, which might not be true for everyone. I have always preferred the pointier end to the broad end, just because I like a little more size and fullness with my toys.

Because of the velvety texture of this toy, I find it attracts lint and fuzz and whatever else it touches like crazy. But then a lot of toys do. I wash mine with warm water before use, and let it air dry on a paper towel before use. Don't use a towel to dry it! It will leave little bits of lint all over it.

Luckily, it comes with a nice bag you can store it in, which prevents it from picking up anything. Since it's silicone, you shouldn't store it in contact with other silicone toys. Or, just do yourself a favor and don't store any of your toys where they touch other toys. I keep mine in the packaging a lot of the time, or organized in ziplock bags.

Nothing is more disappointing than discovering two (or more!) toys melted together in a sad heap. Especially if they weren't cheap.

Lelo has the classiest packaging of most toys in their price range. Ella came in a high quality, sturdy, black reusable box which was mostly unmarked but did say “Pleasure Object” so it is not entirely discreet.. I like to think of it as a box you would find a gorgeous diamond jewelery set in. I would definitely consider those “pleasure objects”, too! If you have the space for it it's a great way to store it. Once my toy collection grew, I ditched the box and started using the satin pouch that also came with the toy.

I love the sleek and classy design, the high quality material, and the satin pouch to keep it in. This is definitely a high end toy. If you like something that more closely resembles a piece of art or a sculpture rather than a giant, veiny, brightly colored severed penis, this is a toy for you.

My experience with Ella has been great. It suits my anatomy, it's a high quality, sleek and sexy toy, and it never lets me down. The flexible neck was not a problem for me, probably because I prefer rocking to thrusting with this toy. Although I generally prefer soft toys, I found that the material of this toy was just soft enough.

Of course you can use this toy for the good ole “in out, in out”, but I really found it to be effective when rocking. For my anatomy, anyways, it was just the right size to do so comfortably.
