Ella, my love! You are so much fun!
The Lelo Ella is a wonderful silicone dildo with a velvety texture. Two ends can be used to stimulate with different sensations. Use one end for g-spot stimulation and the other for general thrusting. Weighing in at just 0.3 pounds it's perfect for travel or those who want a light, non-threatening dildo.Published: August 4, 2010
Pros:
100% silicone material, featherlight, non-threatening look, g-spot stimulation end
Cons:
Rumors of shape getting caught against a pubic bone, somewhat short insertable length
Okay, so when's the last time you took the risk on a dildo that you've been lusting after for the longest time only to find yourself disappointed? Recently? That's sad. I think you should try Ella by Lelo if you haven't. Why? Because you won't find yourself disappointed like you probably have with other handheld dildos in the past.
How can I make this assertion? Because simply put - Lelo puts thought and care into their products. They develop and design products that are exquisite and work beautifully. Maybe it's the Swedish sensibilities or maybe it's the experience behind the brand. Maybe it's the design aesthetics or maybe it's the outstanding materials they use in their products. Whatever it is, Lelo products are wonderful. I have long extolled the virtues of Lelo products.
When you first receive your Lelo product, the quality starts with the packaging. It's a simple look, but so wonderful. The packing with my Ella was white to match the dildo's color. The interior has black plastic the dildo is nestled in and several pamphlets with information about the product and other products Lelo makes. Also included in the packaging is a white silk pouch to store Ella and keep her safe from other silicone toys.
What's that? Silicone? Oh yes! Perhaps my favorite aspect of Ella is the high quality material she is made of. It is a 100% silicone that has a velvety texture. It cleans easily with antibacterial soap and warm water, plus can also be boiled for even more sanitizing. A huge plus with my germaphobic self! Add a drop or two of bleach for the ultimate in sanitation.
The velvety texture of Ella feels good against your skin and naughty bits, plus goes wonderfully with all water-based lubricants. Generally silicone lubricants should not be used with silicone toys so as to avoid the materials bonding, but I've tested Ella with high end silicone lubricants such as Wet Synergy, a combination of both water-based and silicone lubricants. To be on the safe side, I would recommend water-based though.
The design of Ella is quite stimulating. The more bulbous end is a perfect g-spot dildo and will hit that special squishy, spongy tissue that will make you scream with pleasure. I've heard from one woman that Ella had a problem getting caught in her pubic bone, but I didn't have such a problem. Perhaps the issue is anatomy. Nobody's anatomy is the same as another's and while I can't guarantee Ella won't get stuck for you, I think it's more unlikely than likely. The other end of this dildo works as a straight dildo great for thrusting. It is wider and girthier than the g-spot end. Try that for a different sensation and stimulation.
Another feature I find great? It's not scary realistic! While some dildos are veiny and creepy, Ella is not. It's not threatening and easily disguiseable. Looking at Ella, the uninformed wouldn't know it's a sex toy. You can take this to the in-laws without fear of the Mother-in-Law finding a huge veiny cock in your luggage if she snoops around.
Ella's total length is 7" with an insertable length of 5". At it's widest point, Ella's diameter is 1 1/4". It is featherlight and weighs in at a minuscule 0.3 pounds. This makes it great for travel.
Remember if you use Ella with multiple partners in one session, you should clean her between partners or use condoms. Do not use Ella anally as she doesn't have a flared base. This is not an anal dildo by any means. Play safe and play clean, friends!
Take care of your Ella and she will take care of you! I wish you many happy orgasms with the Lelo Ella dildo!

ella vs. others

I want to get ella as my first she doesn't seem as menacing as the others made of glass or metal but are those materials better sensation wise?
-
It comes down to personal preference, really. You're not going to know if glass or metal feels better to you until you try.
A couple things to keep in mind, though: glass and metal have absolutely no give, so they tend to feel bigger than silicone toys of the same size. They're also rather heavy in most cases, and so you need to be a bit more careful when you use them. Being too rough can result in internal bruising. They're very slick and smooth, though, unlike silicone which typically has some drag to it.
The Ella is pretty rigid for a silicone toy, but it's very light and easy to use. It's great if you're new to dildos. :) -

How Does Lelo Ella compare to Gigi?
-
I know that Ella doesn't vibrate, but are there many other differences? I am wondering whether the Ella might be a better shape or size for g-spot stimulation
-
i'm wondering this too. i bought gigi and was disappointed but ella seems even better should I or shouldn't I?

Would the Ella work well for a beginner?
-
I'm thinking of getting my bestfriend this for Christmas but she is new to toys. Would this be a good toy to give a newbie? I have not tried it myself so I'm not sure how easy it is to master.
-
I have the similarly shaped Gigi and found nothing but frustration when trying to thrust with it.
-
i think it would be a good option for a beginner.

I need help the Ella curve is doing me in.
-
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have read every review and some twice. I can not figure this girl out. I want to write a review but, how can I write a review on something I do not get. Any ideas would be wonderful. Please help me enjoy this beautiful toy.
-
What do you not get about it? Not every toy works for every woman. Does it hurt to use? Maybe your vagina is too small for it yet or maybe you just need some lube. Do you not feel anything? Again, nothing is for everyone. Try sqeezing the toy by doing kegels when you use it. Some women say that makes things feel better. Or maybe try tilting it up towards your g-spot. That works for me with other toys.
I haven't used it yet. Just recently purchased a white Ella. And I can't wait! We've got the same name! :D -
If you don't get it you can still write your review from that perspective. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one who had that experience with it. I have the Ella and she's nice but she's not fireworks for me and that's ok. We all have different experiences with toys and that is what makes these reviews so valuable.

Dildo vs. Vibrator

I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!

Just wondering and thanks! What I mean by this I think is, is it easier with one than the other, or maybe does it require a different mind set or even is one better with partner play vs. solo? I don't know, LOL, just curious.

When we started with toys it was all about clit vibes for 'effective' reliable orgasms. But as we got into g-spot and a-spot stimulation, dildos have advantages over vibes because pressure is more important than vibes.
Now we almost always have some of both going on. A dildo for internal and a clit vibe for external - although she occasionally likes two vibes.
The only truism I've found is that what she wants/needs is different almost every time. I use to think 'this worked last time - so lets do it again' - but now I think 'we did that last time - what can I do to mix things up'.
That's why we have dozens of toys - both vibes and dildos.

Ella for beginners
-
Hey! I was just wondering if Ella would be something an absolute beginner could use, someone who's never gone looking for her g-spot before. She seems awfully tempting, but I wonder if I it's too advanced a toy for me?

Ella was the first one that worked for me. Several people have had their first successes with Ella.

Ella and Gigi
-
I've had both the Ella and the Gigi sitting in my shopping cart for days now. I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?
They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one! -

I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?I just bought the Ella and have not tried it yet, but everyone seems to love it. I have had the GiGi for a couple of months and rarely use it, mainly because the control thing is located in the worst possible spot, and I invariably hit it and make the settings change! Argh! I also had no luck with it for g-spot stimulation, and the only times I get it out it is for clit work.
They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one!
Even though I wasn't crazy about GiGi, it seems to do the job for a lot of people, so it might work for you. In fact, I bought it based on all the wonderful reviews. I've come to the conclusion that there is no one toy that will do the trick for everyone. Everyone is VERY different in their tastes and what they need. -
I agree that no toy is good for everyone. I can not get a rabbit vibe that actually works for me by stimulating my clit and vag at the same time. Perhaps its operator error.
Anyway, I love the Gigi. I solved the control issue for me anyway by wiping the lube off the control and my fingers...success. The effectiveness of the Gigi is the vibe plus the design. I don't have the Ella, which is not a vibe but I see it as similar to many of the g spot dils available.

Thank you for viewing Ella – sex toy review page!

Great review, Thanks! I have been wanting this one for awhile, but with so many dildos in my wish list, I can never seem to trust that this one is going to work for me. The price is less than a lot of them though, and I have yet to purchase a Lelo product, so I guess I just need to get this one and see!
That's what drew me to Ella. The price is affordable and really delivers in my opinion.
I've been eyeing this toy for a while, I need to get it!
It's not actually a rumor that this thing can catch on the pubic because Ella does so quite uncomfortably for me. All bodies are different and Ella's shape is definitely not compatible with every single one.
I need to try this
Awwww, that sucks. I haven't had any problem with it getting stuck, but my PC muscles definitely have clamped down on it.
I've been kind of hesitant to get this as well. The Gigi didn't work for me, and I feel like the Ella wouldn't either.
This is one of my favorite toys too! Nice review!
Very nice review! I recently ordered the Ella and have been waiting for her to arrive (hopefully tomorrow!). I can't wait to check her out and compare her to my Gigi. Ella is the same shape as Gigi on one end, but the Ella, from what I understand, is longer and has more reach (though she doesn't vibrate).
great review, Very nice
great review, Very nice
Thank you for the review!!
Thanks for the review!
