Realistic dildo with suction cup
by Blush Novelties

Ergo-nomic and Amazing!

If you're in the market for a dual-density silicone toy, Ergo might be your first choice over other products on the market. While a little more expensive than Tantus' O2 line, it's cheaper, and comparable to the likes of Vixen's Vixskin material on their dual-density toys. With it's affordable price, modest size, and suction cup base, this toy is great for people wanting to know the benefits of dual-density.

Use

Ergo by Blush Novelties is a toy you can use in any situation, no matter who you are. Whether you're wanting to have a solo session in the bedroom or shower, or looking to spice up partner play with pegging or strapping it on, Ergo can do all of those things. Because of the amount of give, this toy will not bump or bruise any of your sensitive bits, and has a flared base and scrotum, which allows it to be used for anal play. This toy can also be used for temperature play, as it states on the front of the packaging that you can put the Ergo into the freezer. Because of its realistic shape, the Ergo might not be best for traveling, as you'd be carrying around a semi-realistic dildo, and if you're embarrassed easily, this wouldn't be the best item to pack in your luggage or carry-on. However, if you're not, Ergo doesn't take up quite a lot of space and comes with his own little bag.

Ergo is also good for g-spotting. His design isn't made specifically for it, but he gets the job done, which I will explain more about this in the design section of my review. With his girth, I feel beginners should work their way up to Ergo. He is squishy, but his girth isn't for people just getting into dildos, or virgins who want to experiment with toys their first try.

Material / Texture

Ergo is made from 100% platinum cured silicone and rates a 10/10 on the Eden safety scale. The silicone itself is a highly glossy silicone with a lot of drag to it, and so it's a natural lint, hair and dust magnet. Being silicone, it is hypoallergenic, free from latex and phthalates, and is completely non-porous. This means that you can share the Ergo without having to worry about bacteria or other nasties staying on the dildo after you wash or boil it. Silicone is also free from odors and has no flavor, and Ergo won't hold onto any scents after using or washing him.

This toy is a dual density silicone, and that means that there is a plushy outer layer of silicone, with a firm inner core of silicone beneath that layer. Ergo is extremely flexible and plushy, but retains just the right amount of firmness for easy penetration. The outer layer of silicone is comparable to that of Vixskin, but it seems like it's even squishier than that. Because of this dual-density silicone, the toy feels really realistic in use. The silicone is completely smooth other than a few slightly raised lines along the shaft that resemble veins, but they're not protruding much and cannot be felt in use.

Ergo is semi-realistic in shape, and is a toffee brown color. His girth makes him more appropriate for intermediate users, so beginners will want to look into smaller toys for their first time experience with dildos. The base of Ergo is made up of the firmer silicone and is a suction cup. The base can be used in a harness as well because of the flare, and makes it safe for anal use.

Design / Shape / Size

The overall design of Ergo is nice, and I appreciate the dual-density of the silicone. The extra plushy head makes the toy easier to insert with the amount of girth, and the overall feel of the toy is realistic when you're playing with it. The silicone on the shaft is not as thick as the softer silicone covering Vixskin toys, but the softer silicone is plushier than Vixskin, so you get a very squishy head. Although it doesn't have much of a curve, the coronal ridge around the head makes for some fun g-spotting, and I was actually able to squirt with the subtle movement of the ridge and the combined girth. The length is perfect, and you probably won't feel this toy bumping into your cervix.

The Ergo is great for intermediate users who want a nice dual-density toy that's affordable to their budget. This would be a great place to start for intermediate users who have never had a dual-density toy before, and if they're looking for something a little less realistic than the toys Vixen Creations puts out. While it's still phallic in shape, the Ergo is more of an artistic take on a penis, and gives all the benefits of the real thing without actually looking like it. Because of its phallic nature, users might not want to take this on a flight with them if they're worried about being discreet. Anyone who sees this toy will immediately know what it's for.

The measurements for Ergo are as follows:

Overall length: 7-1/2"
Insertable length: 6"
Circumference: 5"
Diameter: 1-1/2"

This toy makes partner play fun with it's modest size, and the ability to feel realistic in use. It's also great for simulating blowjobs, so if you're wanting to practice, or 'go down' on your partner while this is in a harness, it's perfect for that as well. Just be careful with your fingernails and teeth, because the material can snag with it's softness.

Performance

The Ergo was just what I expected and more from this dildo. The amount of squish and the subtle curve are complimenting of one another as it glides against the g-spot to make the toes curl in delight. It's flexibility and ability to form to the person's anatomy is delicious and wonderful. You get to experience a feeling of fullness but not overly so, and the material isn't pushing against your body, forcing your walls to form around it. If you or your partner wish to simulate blowjobs, this toy is perfect for oral, as the forgiving material will leave your jaw with the relief of not being forced open. Just be careful not to let your teeth nick the material.

This toy holds up amazing in a harness provided that you have a smaller o-ring. You can thrust to your hearts content without fear of this toy popping out of the o-ring, and having the base behind the uni-ball is much like having the Vixskin Goodfella in your harness. The suction cup base isn't all that great on its own however, as it doesn't last long on a flat non-porous surface, and you have to keep re-applying it if the surface is dry or has dried. With water however, the suction cup does surprisingly well, and maintains itself even through fairly rough riding. While the suction cup was wet, it was almost impossible for me to pull it off of the shower wall, and didn't release until I had pushed my fingernail underneath the edge of the base.

Care and Maintenance

Because the Ergo is silicone it can be easily maintained and can last a lifetime if cared for properly. Because of the non-porous nature of silicone, you can rinse your Ergo with soap and water, or spray on and wipe it down with a toy cleaner. You can also put Ergo into the top rack of your dishwasher without detergent, or boil him to fully sterilize. If you spray on a toy cleaner, remember to rinse it off after doing so. You can even use a 10% bleach solution mixed into 90% water if you want to.

Boiling or washing this toy in the dishwasher will cause this toy to retain heat, so be sure to wear heat resistant gloves or use tongs to remove the toy from the heat. You can boil this toy for up to three minutes, but be sure not to let the toy touch the sides or bottom of the pan you're boiling it in. Allow your toy to air dry with all methods, unless you have a lint-free towel handy to dry it off with, otherwise it will be covered in lint. You should always rinse your toy before and after use, to make sure there aren't any residues leftover on the surface. This ensures the health of the user and of the toy.

Because this toy is plushy on the outside, you'll want to be sure not to store this near sharp objects. Long fingernails can also leave indentations on the surface if you handle it too roughly, so be sure to watch out for that. Use water-based lubricants ONLY with this toy. If you feel courageous enough, test a spot of silicone lubricant on the testicle of the toy with the plushier silicone. Leave the silicone lubricant on for a few minutes before checking to see if the surface has become tacky or gummy. If it has, remove the lubricant immediately and rinse the effected area with soap and water. If it leaves behind a residue, lightly scrape it with your nail and that should remove it.

In order to store this toy, you can store it in the microfiber pouch that comes with it, or a Ziploc bag. I prefer to store this toy in the pouch, as it gives me peace of mind that it will be protected from nicks and cuts as well as lint. Do not store your toy touching lower grade materials such as TPR, Jelly, Rubber, etc. as it can cause the silicone to become discolored or even melt into the other toys. I've found that storing silicone with other silicone toys is fine, but be sure that the toys you store it with are 100% silicone. To be on the safer side, just separate your toys and you won't have any problems.

Packaging

I didn't buy my Ergo from Eden, so my packaging was different compared to theirs. If you buy yours here, you'll find that the packaging is similar to Tantus' silicone toys that come in a clear box. My toy came packaged in a sealed clam-shell packaging, but without the hassle of having to cut it open in order to get to the toy. It was snapped together, and displayed the toy proudly. On the front of the packaging, it says 'Real Nude', has the name of toy, and states some specifications about the Ergo.

Sensa Feel dual density
platinum cure silicone
hand sculpted
skin safe, phthalate free
strong suction cup
harness compatible
boilable and freezable

On the back of the packaging, it discusses the characteristics in a bit more detail, and has them listed again as they were on the front in different languages including: Spanish, French, German and Italian. Also on the back there's care instructions (which are in my cleaning portion of my review), a bar-code with the name of the color (toffee), trademark and certification, and Blush Novelties' website.

Overall the packaging is very minimal, and it can be recycled as it's plastic and the toy can be kept inside of the microfiber bag it came with. If you're looking to gift it, you'll want to wrap or get a gift bag to put this packaging in, because there isn't anything discreet about it.

Personal comments

I wish more toys would implement the use of a 'base' beneath the testicles. It makes for a more realistic experience than other dildos, and feels amazing when bumping against you during thrusts. Being on the giving and the receiving end of this is always gratifying. I was a little disappointed that when I got my toy it had an indentation from the packaging, but it doesn't hinder the use of the dildo in any way, shape or form, so I can't complain too much. I believe the newer packaging Ergo comes in will actually help keep the toy from being disfigured in any way.
Follow-up commentary
I hate that I have to write this here. I truly do. Perhaps it was just mine, and it had a defect of some sort, but the top layer of silicone began peeling away from a layer underneath it, and it began looking like a shedding snake. I really did love my Ergo for the short time that I had it, and it was a really nice toy considering what's happened to it. Perhaps it had a cut somewhere that I didn't notice. I'm just really upset about it.

Oh wow, dual density feels like the real thing? Really? OMGawd, I've gotta have one, or more...

So if the names of all dual density dildos don't include the words 'dual density', how will I know it's a dual density dildo?

Great review, very detailed. Anyone reading it will be well informed.

And thank you for informing me about the wonders of dual density! whoo hoo!
