If you prefer being on top, I'd recommend using a strong hand and holding it in place while supporting yourself by pillows or on a chair. If you prefer thrusting and laying down, I'd recommend supporting your lower body or putting your legs in bandy positions.

The texture is suitable for everyone. Compared to what other women have said, the smell wasn't that bad. The material is very soft (excluding the hard veiny material around it). It was very firm, yet able to bend to fit my needs without losing its firmness.

A word of caution for first time users who underestimate size/length: this toy is NOT for you. It is to be used carefully.
