Flared Awesomeness

This little dildo is quite the multi-tasker. It can take on any orifice you throw it at, and do it with style, grace, and elegance. The pearlescent marbled texture is one that Sedeux seems to have mastered, and the only bad things about this dildo is its uncanny ability to hold on to any scent or stray floating fiber.

Use

This dildo can be used pretty much any way you want to use it, orally, vaginally, anally, in a harness, whatever! It's not necessarily the first thing you should shove in your butt, but if you have some anal play experience, this should be no problem for you whatsoever. No matter what you're using it for, it will do it and do it well.

Material / Texture

Sedeux has amazingly soft, plush silicone, and the Flare is no exception to this. It squishes nicely and has enough give to not be unforgiving, but it's still firm enough to actually be useful. Same thing for how well it bends. I can make the tip touch the base, but I haven't ever had a problem with getting it in. Everything is smooth to the touch, and does have a decent amount of drag to it. The only downsides to Sedeux's awesome silicone is that it attracts lint like a Swiffer Cloth and holds on to smells. This could be a not so horrible thing if it smells like your cleaner, but if you find it holding on to more unpleasant scents, scrub it real well with your favorite cleaner and let it air out for a few days.

Design / Shape / Size

Flare is a semi-realistic dildo, meaning that it's obviously phallic shaped, but doesn't look specifically like a penis. The head is just over 4" around, but dips down about 1/4" to just under 4" around down the shaft. You can fit a good 5" or so inside of you, and the flared base is not only safe for anal play but is also compatible with a 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" harness. I'd go with the 1 1/2" for a little bit of wiggle room that's easy to get on and stay on. Because it's not a huge dildo, you can easily travel with it, just make sure to keep it in something to keep it as lint free as possible.

Performance

This is one of my new favorites for vaginal play. It's short enough that it won't hit the cervix, the head is just pronounced enough to be felt without making anything uncomfortable, and it's firm enough to provide some nice g-spot stimulation. It's not tons of stimulation, but it does feel nice all the same.

Anally, I've only used this a few times, but I did enjoy it. I found that I needed something else most of the time to help me warm up and take it more comfortably, but I have gone straight in with just this once. It works really well for pegging purposes as well, and will provide the male half with some light prostate stimulation as well. It stayed in the harness we used it with with no problems whatsoever.

If you're using it solo and want to try and add a bit of vibration, you can always add a vibrating cock ring as well. Some will work better than others, but cock rings have the potential to turn your favorite dildo into your favorite rabbit.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance is pretty easy. Take care to use only a water based lube unless you take the time to spot test a portion of the base with a silicone lube and see for yourself that it does no damage. You can also use a condom if you want to use a silicone lube, and you should definitely use a condom if you're planning on going from anal to vaginal or sharing during the same session. You can use soap and water to clean Flare. A spray will work if you've used it vaginally, but definitely clean it well with soap after anal play without a condom. You can also boil it or bleach it between uses to ensure a really deep clean.

You'll also probably want to rinse it off before each use, since it does pick up lint like it's going out of style. Because of that, you should definitely always keep it in something when not being used. Whether it's a satin lined toy pouch or just a plain ol' ziploc bag, as long as it's stored in something, you should be fine.

Experience

I'm pretty impatient when it comes to masturbating, I like getting my orgasm quickly, and therefore, tend to opt for vibrators over dildos. But this dildo I do enjoy for thrusting quite a bit. It's almost like it was made for my vagina, seriously. It's about the same size as my husband, which is probably why I love it so much. It does provide me with some pretty decent g-spot stimulation, and while I don't love it anally, at least for something that can move, I do like the filling sensation I get when it's in. The only things I don't like about it are things I can easily fix with a condom, since it does like to hold onto scents (in fact it reeks of my cleaner, even after not having been used/washed for almost a week now) and it does like to pick up and hold a ton of lint. And the plus side of a condom is that then I can use a silicone lube if I want.

  • Is it just me, or does this toy look "skinless"?
    • I keep looking at this dildo since the shape is really nice. But the color seriously freaks me out. Between the red and the swirling, it just makes me think of exposed muscles and veins!

Am I the only one that thinks this, or is there anyone else that sees a skinless cock here?

I've never seen that before you mentioned it.

      Damn you!

I'm so sorry! I did not intend to ruin it for you! ;( But it's just so damn scary-looking! I'd have snatched it up by now if it were any other color.

  • would this be good for beginners anal?
    • I have Joe Rock right now which is 1.25 in diameter. I see that this one has a bulbed head that gets slightly larger. Would this be too much for a beginner?
    • Anyone?
