Handmaiden g-spot seeker - dildo sex toy by Topco Sales - review by Tuesday

This toy is such a nice design. Sigh... If only it worked out better for me. If it came in sizes it might actually be perfect. In theory you can hold it in one hand with a comfortable, easy to use handle and rock it inside yourself to achieve both g-spot and clitoral stimulation. But you'll only achieve dual stimulation if your g-spot is at least three inches inside you.

Because it is flexible and soft, I believe the Handmaiden would work well for a partner to use on you without risk of irritation, although I didn't try that.

This toy is made of phthalate-free latex-free platinum cured medical grade silicone, a nonporous, sterilizable material.

There is an obvious seam running around it. A few pieces of that seam that were sticking out were easy to remove. There was one small area near the handle that looked accidentally melted or glued. None of these minor imperfections bothered me. I don't believe they detracted from the handmaiden's usability.

The Handmaiden's somewhat sloppy craftmanship will not deter it from being an excellent toy if it happens to fit you.

The silicone is probably an ideal level of softness to stimulate you without risking injury. It feels luxuriously smooth in your hand.

The cross section is almost round, despite the fact that the dual coloration obscures this. It has only a slight scent, a scent I didn't find to be at all distasteful.

I really like the design of this. It was such a good idea. The packaging states that it was designed by women.

From the innermost bend, right where it makes the sharpest curve (about a quarter of an inch from the clitoral nubs) to the middle of the two g-spot nubs is almost three inches. From that same point to the middle of the clitoral nubs is one inch. If you open it to an L shape, as it would be when fully inside you, the distance between the middle of the clitoral nubs to the middle of the g-spot nubs becomes longer - about five inches. Your g-spot will need to be at least three inches inside you to have the toy "fit" you as it should.

The packaging states that it offers four insertable inches.

The clitoral nubs extend for one and a half inches, the two g-spot nubs for one and a quarter inches.

The handle is very comfortable to hold. With the handle in the crook of my hand, my fingers fit perfectly around it giving me absolute control.

When its inserted the right distance for best g-spot stimulation, it sticks out too far for the clitoral part to reach its target. When the g-spot part is on my g-spot, the rest of the toy forms a C, arcing out with only the tip of the clitoral end touching far above my clitoris. If I insert it far enough in so the clitoral section is against me, the g-spot end is in far past my g-spot and pushes uncomfortably on the front wall of my vagina.

Inserting the shorter end wasn't successful either. The nubs didn't extend far enough in and the handle then wasn't positioned for easy holding.

If only there were a Handmaiden Jr.

For some reason, I'm never successful in managing a g-spot toy and a clitoral vibrator at the same time. I had such hopes of achieving dual stimulation with this toy, but it was not to be.

The Handmaiden is easy to care for. Use a water based lube then wash it after use and store it in the silky bag that comes with it. It can be boiled or placed in the top rack of a dishwasher for extra cleaning. The instructions advise you to wash with liquid antibacterial soap after each use, then to dry with a cotton towel, then air dry completely before storing.

Never use silicone lube with the Handmaiden since that would damage this silicone toy.

It can be microwaved, chilled or frozen to add temperature sensations to the experience.

The Handmaiden arrived in a clear plastic container with product information and care instructions printed on the packaging. The satin storage case was stuffed into a bottom component of the packaging. I almost threw it out before I noticed that it was there.
