Swirled G - glass dildo discontinued by WHK GmbH - review by dracarys

The Swirled G from WHK GmbH (really? that's the company name?) lives up to its name, with the swirled ridges running along the length of the toy and the bulbous head that's perfect for G-spot stimulation. Because the swirled G is made of glass, it's very easy to sterilize between partners or orifices. Its flared base means this can be used for anal play as well as vaginal play, and the head is perfect for hitting the G-spot and probably the P-spot. While it has a decent length at 7" total and 6.5" insertable, its diameter of 1 3/8" makes this toy accessible for many. Size queens may look elsewhere for their kicks, though! While this toy is more geared towards solo play, its base makes it easy to handle and could potentially be used for partner play.

The Swirled G is made of tempered glass, which has a safety rating of 10 on the EF scale. It's completely nonporous, making it safe to use between partners after a thorough cleaning. Glass is compatible with water, silicone, and oil-based lubricants. Because glass doesn't absorb anything, a little bit of lubricant goes a long way with this toy. The G is smooth and easily slides along the skin, though lube is of course recommended for insertion. It's completely clear and not offered in any colors.

Glass doesn't retain any taste or smell, and this toy didn't have any upon removing it from the package.

The G is completely transparent. It has an oblong base that is different from other toys I own, but it makes handling the toy a lot easier. The shaft of the toy comes out of one end of the base, rather than the center; this wasn't what I expected, but again, it makes sense once you start using the G! The shaft of the G is about 6.5" long, and has a slight curve throughout, then ends in a bulbous head that goes the opposite direction of the curve. Running down the shaft in a spiral are the swirls that give the G its name. The entire toy is glass, so there are no gaps or seams in which fluids, etc. may get trapped, although the swirls do tend to collect fluids and must be cleaned carefully.

The G is 7" long and 1 3/8" in diameter. Because of its size and obvious shape, it's not at all discreet. Also, being made of glass - even tempered glass - it's probably not the best toy for travel, as you have to be very careful that it doesn't accumulate any damage.

The G lives up to its name and is definitely a great G-spot toy. Because of its oblong base, it's easy to get a hold of this toy and manipulate it so it feels great for you. Upon insertion, go slow to really feel the ridges along the length of this toy - when you start to move a little faster with the thrusts, the resulting sensation is also amazing. While I haven't used it anally, the toy's flared base makes that an option.

Because the G is made of tempered glass, it can be used for temperature play. Warm it up in a glass of warm water, or cool it down by placing it in the freezer. While the G doesn't hold the temperature for longer than about 15 minutes, you can keep a glass of ice water nearby to "refresh" the sensation.

If you were looking for a low-maintenance toy, glass is definitely the right choice. It's boilable, dishwasher-safe, and can be wiped down with toy wipes or a gentle soap and water. The only caution I have is to make sure to wipe it well around the ridges; there's a slight indent at the base of the ridge that easily collects fluids or lubricant. When you're done cleaning and drying the toy, inspect it for chips visually and by running a finger along the toy; you should do this periodically and especially after any accidents. While tempered glass is very resistant to chips, it's still glass, so try not to drop it! Tempered glass is made to shatter into large pieces, but try not to do anything that'll ruin this toy.

As for storage, I found the box that it came in to be too large and indiscreet for my purposes, so I store it wrapped in bubble wrap in my toy drawer. Keep it away from anywhere it might get bumped or dropped.

This toy came in a large black box advertising a "Hygienically glass massager" - because that word DEFINITELY fools people. It advertises its ability for temperature play right on the box - "Ice it down, Heat it up." While the word "massager" might attempt to be discreet, thrice on the back of the box it refers to the toy as a "dong", which is pretty obvious - as is the shape of the toy. The toy itself is nestled in a styrofoam pack. While this may be okay for storage, I found the packaging too large to really feasibly use.

I enjoyed freezing this toy and playing with it cold. It's a great G-spot stimulator; just be careful not to go to deep and bruise your cervix. One criticism I have with this toy is that it feels like the base should go the other way - when I'm getting it to really stimulate my G-spot, I feel like I have to twist my hand or re-adjust to feel I have a really solid grip on the base of the toy.
