Goliath...you're so "vein" I love you!

With a 1.75" diameter and thick textured veins all along his shaft, Goliath is a dream come true for the gal or guy who likes girth and firm silicone. The ability to add a bullet to turn this into a vibrator is a real bonus as is the fact you can use it with an O-ring harness.

Goliath will give plenty of fun to those who need plenty of texture and girth.

Use

For those new to sex toys and dildos, you may find that Goliath "taunts" you with his size and his veined texture. Much like the giant who faced Goliath, he thinks he can win it all. However, with the right lube you will be victorious in the end.

Goliath is designed for both vaginal and anal use. He can be used in a harness that uses O-rings and you can use a bullet to turn him into a vibrator. Personally, because he does not have a curve and is such a firm silicone (the hardest I've used in a dildo), I would not want to use him with a suction cup. However, I'm sure that it could be done if you so desire.

I bought Goliath off the Eden Fantasys classified page so I do not have the original bullet he came with. However,I will discuss how he acted with two other bullets that we used.

We enjoy soaking Goliath in some hot water for a few minutes before playtime, without a bullet inserted yet.

Material / Texture

In this review, I will be sharing about the Tantus Goliath and comparing it with two other dildos that are "about" the same size. I do not have a large variety of dildos to compare it with and I do not have a lot of experience with dildos, but I can give you a better understanding of this dildo by comparing it with the other ones.

First of all, the Goliath is made out of Tantus' pure platinum silicone which is food-grade material, hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous and phthalates free. From 1 to 10 when it comes to safety, with 10 being the safest, Eden Fantasys rates silicone as a 10. It is known for having a "tight molecular structure" and holding heat.

Goliath has prominent veins as part of his texture. Eden Fantasys says he has a velvety finish in the product description but I don't feel that is quite accurate. However, my dildo is probably older than a year or so old. Perhaps he could have lost some of that velvety texture. I do find that he has a lot of drag.

When we use Goliath, he feels realistic as far as the head and the texture, however, he is firmer than I would expect a penis to be for a great length of time. Perhaps I am simply oversensitive, I don't know. I do enjoy him, please don't get me wrong. But of the silicone toys I've experienced, he's the one I want to hide under my pillow to hit someone over the head with if they break into the house. With a bit of force behind him, he packs a whallop.

Now let me compare him for a moment to my other two dildos I want to use in this review.

Like Goliath, Happy Valley's "Big Boy" has a hole in the bottom to insert a bullet. He is also made of fairly firm silicone although he is more flexible than Goliath and has a curve for reaching the G-spot.

My other dildo is the O2 Cush which is a dual-density dildo. When I say dual density, what I mean is that there is a hard inner core of silicone and then a softer outer portion that is also silicone but a much softer texture. Many people feel like the dual-density dildos, particularly the O2 line, feel very much like using a penis or holding a penis.

All three of these dildos are harness compatible if the harness uses O-rings. All three of them have some sort of texture to them also.

Of the three dildos, Goliath is the firmest and has the most noticeable texture internally and externally. He is very hard and does not bounce around or droop when held in your hand or in a harness.

Big Boy's texture is not as noticeable and he is the second most firm in this comparison. When held in a harness or in your hand he also does not flop around much.

The O2 Cush has some texture to it as far as veins go. Of the three dildos it has the most bounce/droop when held in your hand or in a harness. It is still somewhat firm.

Design / Shape / Size

There are many things I like about Goliath's design and one thing I don't like. First of all, I like his size and as stated above, I love his veins and the fact he is covered in them. His texture feels really great when he is inserted. His head is fairly pronounced and you do get a bit of a "pop" with him when he's inserted, but his head is not as pronounced as the head on Big Boy.

While Goliath can kind of bend a bit to hit the G-spot, I find he is not nearly as accurate as Big Boy is for hitting the G-spot. When he hits it, there is very good and firm pressure and it feels awesome. However, we have to be a bit careful when thrusting with him because he can hurt a bit if he's thrust too fast and hard.

Goliath is 7" long with 6.5" being insertable. He is 1.75" in diameter.

In comparison with the other two:

Big Boy is 6.5" long with 6" being insertale. He is 1.5" in diameter.
O2 Cush is 6.76" long with 5.5" being insertable. He is 1.75" in diameter.

Now let me compare how they are as far as design, etc. Big Boy is definitely designed to hit the G-spot with his curve and he has good pressure although he is not as dense as Goliath is. The O2 Cush can hit the G-spot and can be thrust harder and with more force because he is actually softer on the outside. When he hits the G-spot, I can feel him there but that is about it. It would take a lot to hurt someone by thrusting when using the O2 Cush.

Performance

For me, Goliath's strengths are in his veins and his firmness. I also like the fact that you can use a bullet with Goliath, however, the hole where you insert he bullet is only 2" deep. We tried using a bullet with our Dual Passions Bullet Duo and that did fairly good for vibrations. Unfortunately, that was a traditional egg-shaped bullet which could not fit all the way down the hole, so the vibrations were mainly in the bottom of the dildo's shaft. We also used the bullet from Big Boy which is a smaller and buzzier bullet but it goes in further and makes the top portion of the dildo vibrate more. That was much more enjoyable. I do not know about the bullet that Goliath comes with.

Of the three dildos, Goliath is my second favorite. For me, although he is slightly less girthy, Big Boy brings me more pleasure because the bullet goes deeper in him so that he vibrates more and his curved tip hits my G-spot continually. It is very easy to have him hit my G-spot, whereby with Goliath we have to work with him a bit to get him to work. However, Big Boy does not have the veins that feel so great on Goliath.

The O2 Cush is my least favorite of the three and it isn't because he is bad. However, he does not curve to hit my G=spot, he does not vibrate and he doesn't have a lot of texture to him. In addition, he does feel fairly soft when my muscles grip on him.

My recommendations would go like this:

If you like very firm dildos and lots of texture, you would want Goliath.
If you like firmness and some texture but really like a curve, then you want Big Boy.
If you like girth but prefer a softer dildo and texture and curves and vibrations don't matter to you, then go with the O2 Cush.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is very easy to care for and you have so many cleaning options that something should please you. As long as the bullet is not inserted at the time you clean this, you may boil it for 3 minutes in hot water or place it in the top rack of the dishwasher when you go to run it. You can also use toy cleaners or soap and water to clean this. You may want to use an old toothbrush to make sure you can clean around the veins well if you don't boil this though.

I highly recommend using lubricant due to Goliath's drag. Make sure that you use water-based lubricant. If you are inserting the bullet, be sure to add some lubricant to the bullet before inserting it in Goliath.

I love the Tantus packaging and would store it in the clamshell at least so that it can sit upright and keep its shape.
