Good For The G, But Not For The V

As my first glass dildo, I am very happy with this toy, but as I've used it more, I've found that it has some setbacks that make it less versatile than I expected. The Rainbow G is fantastic for G-spot stimulation, but I find it hard to use it for anything else. Overall, this is a great glass toy for a range of experience levels, but it's not very versatile.

Use

The name of this toy, Rainbow G, boasts that it is meant for G-spot stimulation and it certainly gets the job done. The curve of the shaft as well as the bulbous head allow me to reach my G-spot perfectly. I love to rest the middle curve of the shaft just inside my vaginal opening and slightly rock the toy side to side/up and down to easily stimulate my G-spot.

That said, I do not find this toy suitable for thrusting as it is on the longer side for glass toys, and when I have used it for thrusting I can feel is bumping my cervix which is no fun and can cause bruising and pain. So this is definitely a toy to go easy with until you understand how it works with your body.
Since this toy is made of glass and has a flared base, it is safe for anal use and possibly for P-spot stimulation. Also, due to the Pyrex glass material, this toy can be used for temperature play.

Material / Texture

This toy really turned me on to glass as a material. I love how smooth the surface of glass is, how odorless and tasteless it is, and how easy it is to clean.

The one things I was fearful of as a beginner, not knowing much about borosilicate glass, was that the toy might break easily and even more terrifyingly, shatter whilst inside me. I was even so frightened to think that by inserting a vibrator along with the Rainbow G that the vibrations would somehow cause the toy to crack. Looking back now, I get a good giggle from my paranoia, but at the time it seemed like a valid fear. So for all of you beginners with similar concerns, have no fear! Borosilicate glass is also known as tempered/Pyrex glass, the same stuff they use to make ovenware. It's really sturdy, so likely nothing happening during use will cause it any harm, and if per chance it does break, it will not shatter.

Now, on to the good stuff! The little nubs on the shaft of the Rainbow G are fantastic. As a beginner, I did not find them to be too much texture. I am used to larger toys though, so if you prefer slimmer dildos in your softer materials, I would suggest trying a glass toy with no texture at first. Although I don't consider these bumps to be very large, because of the rigid glass you can certainly feel them much more than with a softer material.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the shape of the Rainbow G for certain things while others, not so much.
The shape is fantastic for G-spot stimulation. The curve is perfect and the head is nicely rounded to reach my g-spot. I find that with glass toys, a lot of the heads are either too round or too pointed. Too much of a sphere doesn't do much in the G-spot department for me while too pointy can be painful, so the Rainbow G is a perfect shape for me.

G-spot stimulation only utilizes about half the length of the toy, give or take, depending on one's anatomy. The problem I have is when I attempt to use the entire insertable length of the Rainbow G. Normally, I find dildos between 7 and 8 inches to be the perfect length, but with a 7 1/4 inch insertable length I found it painful to insert the entire toy while thrusting. Because glass is so hard, it does take some exploration and getting used to when coming from insertables made of plusher materials such as jelly or silicone. Also, it's especially important with glass not to thrust too hard as it might bruise the cervix. Unfortunately, my main problem with inserting the Rainbow G is it's shape. Even without thrusting, I don't enjoy inserting the Rainbow G fully because I find that the curved shape is uncomfortable. Sometimes, if I wiggle it just right, I can get the curve to graze my g-spot, but that's rare. Usually, with a textured glass toy such as this one, I love to twist it and move it to feel all of that great texture, but the curve doesn't allow me to do that and if I move it too much, it can actually be painful. This is a little upsetting because the shaft has all this great bumpy texture and I don't get to use most of it.

My suggestion is if you're looking for a great G-spot toy with good texture, the Rainbow G will serve you well. If you're looking for a glass dildo that you can thrust and twirl, you'll probably want something that has less of a curve to it.

As for appearance, the Rainbow G is a nice looking toy. I love the vibrant primary colors of the nubs and head. It's definitely not the most beautiful or intricately colored glass toy, but I do love the color it adds to my toy box.

Performance

There are two things that make this toy worth every penny: the material and it's performance as a G-spot stimulator. I cannot speak more highly of glass and this is the toy that showed me it's wonders. It also does what it's meant to do, pleasure the G-spot. For me, the fact that it's glass only lends to it's performance as a G-spot toy; I need a rigid material to really make my G-spot feel good as it's not very sensitive.

What's not so great about this toy is that, as I elaborated on before, it just doesn't work with my anatomy when fully, or almost fully inserted. And I believe that for a lot of people, it's not going to be good for thrusting because of the length as well as the rigid material.

Care and Maintenance

The Rainbow G is extremely easy to care for. Because it's made of nonporous glass, you just wash it with soap and water. You can also put it in your dishwasher, boil it, or use toy cleaner/wipes. The glass material also means that you can use water, oil, and silicone based lubes. In general, this toy is very low maintenance. The only thing I've noticed is that body fluids have a tendency to build up around the bumps on the toy, so just make sure you clean around them.

The package the Rainbow G came in does not double as storage, but like most glass toys, it came with a velvet storage pouch. The pouch doesn't have any type of padding or support, so if you want extra protection against damage I suggest buying a box or other type of housing for it. Personally, I just keep it in the provided pouch and store it with the rest of my toys.

Experience

One thing I love to do with this toy as well as my other glass toys is to put a vibrating cock ring around the bottom. The vibrations travel through the glass and give a little extra oomph to the experience.

I'm going to nominate this for a rumble! You have improved so much at reviewing in such a short time! Since the curve made it difficult for you to fully enjoy the nubs on the shaft through twirling and thrusting, may I suggest the Rainbow Nubby Wand or the Rainbow Heart ? They have more nubs per inch, too! I have the Rainbow Heart and while it's too much texture for me, I adore that handle and wish it was on my other glass toys so I can twirl them more easily!

Thank you for the wonderful review. I don't really understand why SSA designed the dildo with such a weird bend on its shaft.

Thanks for the review! It's a shame that this toy didn't entirely work for you, but I'm happy that you learned from it and there are definitely others you can try!
