Great, basic toy that aims to please
Despite, or because of, its simplicity, it packs a lot of value. It's great for either gender, for couples or the solo player. This toy is its heart on, and you'll be very glad it does!Published: March 26, 2011
Pros:
Feels great inside, functional handle gentle thrusting, easy to clean, long-lasting toy
Cons:
Once you get used to the size, there are no cons
The lucid heart was my second toy. Even though I saw the RealSize here on the website, I was surprised at the size when I received it. It was too large for me to use at first, so I thought it was a bust. One night when I was very hot and my other toy wasn't satisfying me, I gave the Lucid Heart another go. I'm glad I did!
Because of the thickness of the "head" I wouldn't recommend this for those who are looking for their first toy or for those who prefer their toys small. I love the slight curve of the Lucid Heart. The heart-shaped handle is useful for when things get messy, and they will get messy with this toy. In fact, I'd use this as a reference for other glass toys, whatever the price, knowing that something without a handle or flared bottom would be more difficult to manipulate. I love that glass is easy to care for: just a quick wash and it's as good as new. If you're looking for a toy that is ridiculously simple to care for and doesn't have a synthetic scent that lingers, I highly recommend glass. It isn't a lint magnet like softer materials, and you can boil it to sanitize. I sometimes put it in a sink of warm water to warm it up, but I think it warms up quicker between my legs. So far, I'm too lazy go downstairs to warm it up another way.
I haven't used this while standing in the shower since it is glass and can get slippery (and I'm a klutz), but it is fine for me to use when I'm reclined in the tub. I have dropped it (on my bathroom floor and in the sink) without any damage, but I can't guarantee it would survive repeated falls or being dropped on a surface like concrete. Since glass doesn't have give and this toy is hefty for me, I wouldn't give it to a partner for very rough thrusting and I don't use it that way solo. I love the feeling when I'm very wet and finally bottom out with this, and I also like to use it against my G-spot. Because of the material, you won't have to replace this toy every year or two due to wear, so the low cost seems even lower after a few years compared to many higher maintenance toys.

Temperature Play
-
Is it possible to heat up or ice down ANY glass toy? Or does it depend on the type of material, like the lucid heart has that is made for this sort of temperature play?
-
My experience with glass is limited, so I could be wrong, but I would imagine that any glass toy on here for the most part would be able to do both, provided that you weren't microwaving or going from one extreme temperature to another right away.
-
Temperature play is a relative term - you shouldn't be looking at anything too hot or cold. Anything that is bearable for your intimate parts would not be a problem for the glass toys that I have - and I do own a Lucid Heart.
Another thing to avoid is large temperature swings - don't take hot glass an put cold water on it - or vice-versa.
Moderation is a good thing!(angel)
