Silicone curvy - realistic vibrator discontinued by EdenFantasys - review by Tweeds101

I came across the Silicone Curvy while I was looking to buy my first vibrator. At first, I was really intimidated; I'd never used sex toys before, but wanted to get something that would satisfy me when the urge struck. A friend suggested EdenFantasys, and so the search began. I was grateful for the copious articles and discussions on the site, and decided that I wanted a silicone toy for safety reasons (it was a bit intimidating to think of getting a material I wasn't familiar with for my first toy, and I also have a preference for more realistic toys).

The Silicone Curvy is a good size for a starter vibrator - the 1" diameter isn't too thick, and the 4 1/4" insertable length isn't too long. Fresh out of the box, the Curvy is inviting and unintimidating, which is incredibly nice if you tend to be nervous about new things. The silicone feels really nice to the touch - soft and silky like smooth skin - and is probably my favorite feature. The safety of the silicone means that I can stop worrying and just relax while the skin-like feel makes it seem more natural. Because of the silicone, however, I was careful to avoid buying silicone-based lubricants, as I read that pairing silicone and silicone can degrade your toy. I chose a water-based lubricant instead.

I was ecstatic to find out how quiet this toy is - one night, my husband was sleeping so that he could wake up early for work, and I didn't want to disturb him when I was in the mood. I was actually able to use the Silicone Curvy in our bed without waking him, which was impressive to say the least. As for the other sensory experiences, there really isn't a smell to speak of, and it doesn't seem to have a taste, as far as I can tell.

When I have finished, I use toy cleaner or soap and hot water to clean it, and keep it in my dresser drawer. Because my room is in the basement of my house, the toy is sometimes cold when I pull it out - I like to put it between my thighs to warm it while I stimulate myself in other ways. The 10 settings for vibration are fun to cycle through at just about anytime, and they are easily controlled by a button at the base. The vibrations do not come close to being overwhelming, and they actually could use a little more vroom at times.

Full disclosure: I have once had the Silicone Curvy stop working at random in the middle of my play. Although the batteries were not dead, I was unable to turn it back on immediately. It came to life several hours later when I checked again. Since then, I have had no further issues with the vibe. I'm not entirely sure what caused that, but it hasn't really been a problem.
