This dildo can be used for vaginal and anal penetration, since it has a flared base and can be sterilized. It is harness-compatible, and its firmness would make harness thrusting easy. I prefer to use it alone; it's a bit too firm for my boyfriend to use on me comfortably, but I have an extremely sensitive g-spot.

The Perk also comes with a medium-strength bullet to place in the hole in its shaft, for those who enjoy vibrating toys.

Perk is made of 100% body-safe silicone, which is odorless and tasteless. It is smooth, firm, and has a slight drag. Its stiffness might be a bit too much for absolute beginners, but most people should enjoy it. The drag does mean Perk requires a little more lube than silky-smooth sex toys.

The firm silicone of this dildo transmits vibrations from a bullet in its base very well. They can be strongly felt throughout the entire toy, base to head.

My Perk is made of beautiful silicone in varied silver shades that catch the light. With a 1 1/2 inch diameter and 6 inches of insertable length, Perk is wonderful for anyone looking for dildo the size of an average penis. It's not too big, and while it's not realistic, it does have a penis shape, and anyone will be able to tell that it's a dildo. Like most penises, the Perk curves slightly, and this curve allows it to stimulate the g-spot. The design works well for me, filling me almost like real penis. It does not hone in on my g-spot like some other toys I've tried, but it does feel very good, and gives me wonderful orgasms.

While I would not recommend the size and firmness of the Perk for complete beginners, I think it would be a good vaginal dildo for anyone looking to move past the "beginner" stage. It is my largest dildo, and I do need to warm up to use it. Anally, I think this would be more of an intermediate dildo, because of its size and semi-rigidity.

The one issue I have with the design of this dildo is the hole for the bullet. It's the widest bullet hole I've seen in a dildo; to get the bullet to stick, you have to really shove it up there. Once you've done that, good luck getting it out. On the plus side, you can stick a pretty big bullet, or even a slim vibrator, into this one-inch diameter hole.

Finally: Perk looks happy. It looks... perky. I admit, I anthropomorphize things, but that's easy to do with this dildo. I'm a lot more likely to reach for it simply because it looks so happily eager.

Perk does its job as a body-safe, firm, penis-sized dildo very well. It doesn't feel like a real penis, but with lots of lube, it's close. It's good for thrusting slowly and gently at first, then gradually picking up the pace.

Silicone can be washed with soap and water, and sterilized by using a 10% bleach solution, boiling for three minutes, or washing in the top rack of the dishwasher without soap. Perk should not be stored touching other toys. I wrap my silicone toys in microfiber cloths and put them in ziploc bags. Use water-based lubricants with silicone toys, as they interact poorly with silicone lubricants.

This dildo doesn't pick up every piece of dust and cat hair in the house as easily as many other silicone toys do. I still recommend washing it both before and after use, however.

My Perk came in a clear plastic bag, with a piece of cardboard advertising its maker, Happy Valley, stapled to the top. This minimal, inoffensive packaging is environmentally friendly, and I appreciate that. If you want to give this as a gift, you'll probably have to put it in other bag; or just tie a bow around the Perk and set it next to the giftee's bed.

If you can't decide quite which dildo to get, and are looking for something simple, body-safe, and ecologically friendly, the Perk is an excellent choice. It has a lot of personality, for a dildo, and is a lot of fun to use.
