Heigh-ho, Silver!

Use

This toy has a variety of ways it can be used due to its great design! The Leo isn't made to vibrate (there's another version that is, however), but it pretty much does everything else you would want a dildo to do. From the delightfully realistic texture of the head to the strong suction of the base, it's quite an exhilarating ride.

This toy is for anyone who likes penetration play. It has a large flanged base, so it's safe for anal insertion and has proven indispensible in strap-on sessions. It might be too long for everyone to insert it vaginally all the way, but I don't see this as a detriment to the toy-- it's somewhat soft silicone, so there's hardly a risk of internal damage.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of a softish silicone, just the right amount of rigidity. It feels great to the touch, is smooth and there are nice little creases around the head of the dildo. It doesn't look realistic (mine is clear silicone with silver sparkles throughout), but it feels as realistic as a silicone cock is going to feel-- the only rivals are Cyberskin ones, but those honestly kind of squick me out.

This texture seems like it would be good for any experience level-- it's not intimidatingly rigid, and it's not floppy or have too much squish factor.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of this piece is pretty perfect. The shaft is slightly curved, and with its 7 inches of insertable length, it will suit a fair percentage of "size queens" as well as those who enjoy a hefty, slightly-bigger-than-average cock.

This toy is definitely realistic in its design, but is decidedly unrealistic when it comes to the coloration-- mine is often referred to as the "sparkly magical dildo" or the "space cock," which I'm both totally fine with. Despite its unique coloration, however, it does look like a penis, so it's not as "discreet" as other insertable toys may be.

Performance

The only thing that has slightly disappointed me about Leo is the suction cup. When stuck onto vertical surfaces (say, a wall), it will lose suction and fall off within a few minutes. I have yet to try this in the shower, though I would guess that water might help make a better suction. On horizontal surfaces, Leo will stand at attention for a long time!

I love this toy for sessions with me & my Hitachi wand, or strapped on with my partner along for the ride. It sits well in a harness and doesn't shift about-- though you do need an O-ring that will fit around it; it's slightly larger than 1.5 inches (which is, I believe, "standard," or at least common, strap-on O-ring size).

Care and Maintenance

Since this guy is silicone, it's easy to clean. It can be washed with soap and water or boiled for full sterilization. I've also heard you can put them in the dishwasher, but it seems like dishwashing detergent might not be very friendly to tender bits, so I haven't tried. Leo comes in a tube from Vixen Creations which doubles as a storage container.

Since Leo is made of silicone, it is NOT compatible with silicone lubes!!!! They will melt it-- so please, be careful and make sure you use water-based lubricant. If you choose to put a condom on your toy, you might be able to get away with using silicone lube (make sure the condom and the lube are compatible too, some are weird), but remember that you're risking your toys when you do it.

Personal comments

My partner got one first. After using it on him with our Latigo Leather harness from Sportsheets, I was hooked... and jealous that he got to the pretty shiny dildos first! I got one the next time I was in a bigger city with a fabulous sex shop-- Early To Bed in Chicago. So far, it's been a great investment!

Experience

I love using this toy on my own with a vibrator on my clit, but I also love having it used to penetrate in conjunction with oral sex. It feels amazing, and it's way easier on my partner's wrists-- finger insertion feels nice, but he gets carpal tunnel flare-ups and using this toy to penetrate me keeps the irritation down. Win-win!
Follow-up commentary
This dude is awesome! A new fun thing I've learned about it: if you get a condom of any color, its sparkles shine through the condom, which gives the impression that I finally *DO* have that hot pink Leo with sparkles that I've always wanted! I've heard of some silicone toys developing small tears that grow, but Leo is still just fine, despite lots of use.

VixSkin toys are not compatible with dishwasher detergent, I can't think of any toys that are. Dishwasher cleaning means running through the cycle without detergent. The hot water and heat take care of things.
Personally I think boiling is faster and more through anyway.

@Newme: The base is slightly hollowed out so that it can stick onto surfaces, though it's not always the *best* suction ever, it definitely holds it in place.

The other thing to look at is the O-ring size and stretchability - the Joque's is fixed (so you can't put in a bigger or smaller), but copes with dildos between 1-1/2" and 2" in diameter (smaller dildos can be used, they'll just be a bit floppier).

      Since Leo is 1-5/8" it's solidly in the Joque's ideal range.
