Her Dream

Use

The Amethyst's purpose is for vaginal/g-spot stimulation. I would say the toy is suited for beginners as well as advanced toy users. This is a glass toy and should not be used forcefully or too hard, otherwise you can risk damaging or bruising the cervix. This toy can be used anally on the curved end.

Material / Texture

The Amethyst is made of pyrex glass that is food grade material. The glass makes the toy very smooth, especially with lube. There is no smell or taste to the toy. Since the toy is glass, it is very hard in texture.

Design / Shape / Size

I am intrigued by the design, and my lady friend loved it! The shape is curved at one end for g-spot stimulation with a tapered head that is quite realistically shaped. The other end is a round bulb with a series of bulbs going up the shaft. She loved both ends! The size is 7 1/4 inches long, 4" insertable on curved end and 5" insertable on the bulbous end. It is 4" in circumference and weighs 9.7 ounces. This toy is somewhat realistic on one end but not so much on the other end. However, the design and color make the toy not so realistic looking. Safe and suitable to travel with.

Performance

The best thing about this toy is the g-spot curve. She absolutely LOVED the stimulation and the pressure the glass toy gave her. The Amethyst is definitely a "soaker" toy. She squirted like never before with this toy (the curved end). I haven't yet found anything that is not so great about this toy, except maybe the hardness of the glass, because in the heat of the moment it is hard not to go too hard, and too hard with a glass toy can cause pain and damage. There is no suction cup and I don't see how this toy would easily be a harness compatible toy.

Care and Maintenance

The Amethyst is so easy to keep clean. Being a glass toy, you can boil it, wash it with soap and water, and even put it in the dishwasher. You can also use any lube you prefer with this toy.

Packaging

The Amethyst came in a velvety, drawstring bag. The bag isn't made too great, but it works for storage to keep it clean and hidden.

      I heard that somepeople find that it drags or almost sticks at times, becoming painfull after a few thrusts. I never had thsi problem but I hear it alot lately.
    • In my own experience, some water-based lubes do dry suspiciously fast on glass and leave something of a residue that occasionally got sticky, but I've never had it become painful. I haven't used lube with my glass since moving on to glycerin-free lubes, though, and I know glycerin is often the culprit with stickiness.

      I'll have to try again and see how my Sliquid fares with it. Silicone lube will probably work out better, too.

  • Amethyst Still Out of Stock?
    • I noticed this has been out of stock for a long while, or is it just me? I really want to pick this one up, does anyone know when it might be back if ever? I'm not too fond of the others due to them being pink (unless Eden carried the cobalt bent graduate, which I would pick up).

      Anyone have any word on when this will be back?
    • I dunno, really. I guess you could set alerts to be notified when it is. I wish I knew as well, because I don't like the pink ones either and I know exactly where you're coming from. Hey, if I find out, I'll let you know.:)
